Georges St-Pierre announces Netflix show

During a recent episode of UFC Unfiltered with Jim Norton and Matt Serra, Georges St-Pierre revealed that he is part of a new MMA-themed show set to be released on Netflix worldwide. The series will have six episodes and feature Jon Jones, Ciryl Gane, and some other MMA stars as well.

"There’s a big project coming out at the end of the year called the Cage. It’s a big production. A series of six episodes related to MMA. It’s a little bit like Entourage but for MMA. It’s a fiction story, but they use real fighters in the series. I will be playing my own role, Jon Jones is there, Ciryl Gane is there, and a few other guys too."

The series is categorized as a sports drama on IMDb, which reports that French actor Franck Gastambide will serve as the director.

St-Pierre has previously acted in the multibillion-dollar franchise, Marvel Cinematic Universe. He played the role of Batroc the Leaper and had a hand-to-hand combat scene with Chris Evans' Captain America.

Conor McGregor takes a shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov, again

Conor McGregor recently went at his lifelong UFC rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, in a since-deleted tweet. The Irishman took to X to react to an old tweet by the Dagestani in 2018 in which 'The Eagle' threatened to part ways with the UFC. This came after the promotion cut one of Nurmagomedov's teammates.

McGregor seemed to find Nurmagomedov's comments hypocritical in light of current events. He said:

"Fast forward he has since abandoned, betrayed, and fled Russia entirely. Leaving his children and mother and wife/cousin behind."

This is not the first time McGregor has made distasteful comments about Nurmagomedov's family and private life, and it is not likely to be the last. At the time of this writing, there are no reports of Nurmagomedov having "abandoned" his home country.

Kamaru Usman is not willing to call Alex Pereira UFC P4P GOAT just yet

Kamaru Usman does not believe Alex Pereira can be called the No. 1 pound-for-pound UFC fighter just yet, despite his surging success in the last couple of years. In a recent episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Usman said that knocking opponents out is not a sign of an all-round fighter.

"Yes, you can stand and knock everybody out. Guys who aren't moving, guys who aren't shooting on you, guys who aren't testing your grappling, yes. But that doesn't mean you're number one pound-for-pound. So, don't be upset about that, don't be butthurt about it. If anything, show me you're pound-for-pound. Go out there, take the next guy down."
