Watch: Jamahal Hill resorts to cheating in 'title fight' against Daniel Cormier

Jamahal Hill will take on Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 283, with both men vying to become the undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion. But before the Chicago native could step into the octagon on Saturday, he came face-to-face with Daniel Cormier in another 'title fight'.

The pair were featured in the UFC's Embedded Series, which showcased behind-the-scenes footage of the ongoings of fight week. During episode 6, Cormier and Hill faced off in a game of Madden NFL on PlayStation. Despite a strong start from 'Sweet Dreams', he was forced to use a sly tactic to ensure he didn't lose the game to Cormier.

Cormier sat down with Jamahal Hill to preview his upcoming fight, and said:

"I'm checking in with Jamahal Hill who will be taking on Glover Teixeira for the light heavyweight championship of the world. BUT, before his title fight, he's got an actual title fight [with me]."

'Sweet Dreams' was forced to turn the console off to avoid defeat, and he will be hoping to turn Glover Teixeira's 'console' off on Saturday night with his slick striking skills.

Teixeira has been preparing for a title fight for months, as he was initially set to face Jiri Prochazka at UFC 282 in December. But the rematch of their epic encounter at UFC 275 was canceled after Prochazka sustained a severe shoulder injury, forcing him to vacate the title.

But the Brazilian's extended preparation has come to an end, and he will be chomping at the bit to regain the title he lost to Prochazka.

Jamahal Hill says he is 'more than capable' of stopping Glover Teixeira's takedowns

Jamahal Hill is a severely underrated striker in the UFC and has won his last three bouts via KO/TKO.

A statistic was recently released which placed 'Sweet Dreams' 11th among ranked UFC fighters in terms of 'strike differential', which is the difference between strikes landed and strikes absorbed per minute. Hill's differential was +2.95, which was higher than both Ciryl Gane and Marlon 'Chito' Vera.

Of Jamahal Hill's 11 MMA victories, 7 have come via KO/TKO, which illustrates his power. His opponent, Glover Teixeira, is a handy striker, but is far more skilled in the grappling department. But 'Sweet Dreams' is confident in his ability to keep the fight on two feet, where he operates best.

Hill recently spoke to journalist Megan Olivi, and said:

"He wants to get it to the ground, get on top and implement himself. And I'm more than capable of stopping that from happening and implementing my will... I'm ready to dominant everywhere."
