Jared Gordon was on the losing side of one of the most controversial UFC decisions in recent memory. 'Flash' was defeated by up-and-coming UFC star Paddy Pimblett in the co-main event of UFC 282.

Many thought that 'The Baddy' would steamroll Gordon in the first round, but it was the American who seemed to land the more powerful blows in the early going. Fans and fighters alike thought that 'Flash' had won either 2-1 or 3-0, including Gordon.

Recent footage of a backstage interaction between the pair following their fight has been released, and 'Flash' can be seen telling Pimblett that he thought he had won the fight.

"Bruh? You [Pimblett] lost that fight"
Bruh?
You lost that fight 👊🏼
"Jared won. Give him the fight"
Jared won. Give him the fight

Jared Gordon speaks on aftermath of UFC 282, and the opportunities that have come with it

Jared Gordon was declared victorious by almost the majority of the MMA fanbase at UFC 282. However, the only three opinions that matter, the judges, all had the result in favor of Paddy Pimblett.

Shock and confusion erupted following Bruce Buffer's announcement, as people tried to work out how Pimblett had been awarded the victory.

'Flash' admitted that he felt the world was conspiring against him as he soaked everything in during the 12 hours after the fight. But, in hindsight, Gordon feels that it may have been the best thing that could have happened to him.

'Flash' recently spoke to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour and highlighted the opportunities he is now receiving as a direct result of the controversy:

"The fact that I'm getting more attention now than ever before is a good thing. I'm getting bombarded with interview requests. I just got off the Bruce Buffer one, I just did one with Mike Bohn, I'm with [Ariel] now. [Michael] Bisping podcast on Friday, Brett Okamoto too... You know, Brett Okamoto never asked me for an interview before. Bisping never asked me to come on the show before."
