"Watch your mouths" - When Anthony Joshua minced no words confronting seemingly drunk university students for heckling him

Anthony Joshua, who is known for his composed and dignified demeanor, once didn’t hesitate to confront a group of seemingly intoxicated university students who tried to taunt him.

According to a May 2022 report by The Sun, 'AJ' was walking through Loughborough University, where he had relocated his training camp in preparation for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. During his stroll, a group of drunk students began hurling insults at him without any clear reason.

The former unified heavyweight champion immediately took offense to the heckling and swiftly made his way to the naysayers' flat to confront them directly. In a video of the incident, Joshua can be heard saying:

"Remember you’re running your mouth because when I bring people up here and I start cracking your glass jaws, none of you will like it. When your jaws start breaking and people start chasing you out of this university, none of you will like it. Watch your mouths because you don’t know who you’re talking to sometimes. I know, listen, all that public eye bullsh*t, I ain't into all that."

This incident is likely the only time on camera where 'AJ', known for his imposing presence and devastating power, appeared visibly agitated.

Joshua is preparing for his third shot at the championship as he faces reigning IBF heavyweight titleholder Daniel Dubois in a 12-round showdown this Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

When Anthony Joshua stood by his decision to confront Loughborough University students

During an interview with Mirror Fighting in June 2022, Anthony Joshua spoke about the altercation with intoxicated students at Loughborough University.

'AJ' made it clear that he has no regrets about how he handled the situation as the students were drunk and hurling abuse at him:

"When people are intoxicated, they are not their normal selves; alcohol does not help. But I am a normal person, and I have good and bad days. You cannot expect me to be different from anybody else because of what I have to lose. I don’t act a certain way because I want to keep what I have; I am just who I am. If you cross me, you are crossing the wrong person. I don’t take sh*t from anyone."
