In the video, Masvidal can be seen answering questions pertaining to his identity and his phone number, which has a Puerto Rico area code, stating:

"Jorge Masvidal... I have a stage name when I compete, but my name is Jorge Masvidal... 939, yeah, Puerto Rico... I plan on moving there so it's just a matter of time before I get over there... Somewhere where there's a lot of jungle and close to the beach, that's what I want. Nowhere near the city."

Following the interview, the police began to transport Masvidal. The No.11-ranked welterweight joked with the officers, claiming:

"It's been a while [since he has been arrested]. It's been a good streak. I promised myself never again, but here I am."

Masvidal continued to remain cordial with officers during his transportation. He joked regarding the bars on the windows of the police cruiser, noting that suspects will no longer be able to kick the windows out. Upon arriving at his destination, one of the officers discussed Masvidal's manager, Malki Kawa, sharing that they went to high school together.

Daniel Cormier believes that Jorge Masvidal should consider facing Michael Chandler

Jorge Masvidal has been angling for a title shot again Leon Edwards, however, the welterweight champion seems destined to face former champion Kamaru Usman in his first title defense. UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier recently shared that he believes Masvidal should consider facing No.5-ranked lightweight Michael Chandler.

Speaking on his podcast, 3 Rounds with Daniel Cormier, the former double champ stated:

"I believe there's more value in this fight for Masvidal than he even believes. He seems to still want to be champion, and I think that the first step in trying to be a champion is exactly what he's doing - trying to get on the same card as Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards... I think he needs to recognize that there's more value in the Chandler fight than he believes because it might just get him closer to what he wants, and that's another shot at the welterweight championship."

While it is unclear if Masvidal will change his tune on facing Chandler, he shared that he is open to facing Gilbert Burns on the same card as Edwards and Usman. The No.5-ranked welterweight had previously claimed that Masvidal had avoided facing him at UFC 281, UFC 282, and UFC 283.
