WATCH: Sean O'Malley's teammate scores impressive TKO win
The MMA Lab is riding high as Sean O'Malley's teammate, Marcus McGhee, scored an impressive TKO against Luciano Ramos this past Friday at LFA 149.
It was a one-sided bout in favor of McGhee, who had Ramos backed up against the cage and dropped him with a solid right hand to earn a second-round TKO win. In doing so, he handed his opponent the first TKO loss of his career.
The bout aired on UFC Fight Pass, which is great for 'The Maniac' as his performance could have made a great impression on UFC management and could earn him a future opportunity to compete in the octagon.
The 32-year-old spent time training with O'Malley in preparation for the latter's bout with Petr Yan and is currently riding a two-fight winning streak.
Sean O'Malley believes Conor McGregor would beat Henry Cejudo quickly
Sean O'Malley has been active on social media as he awaits the official announcement for when Aljamain Sterling will be defending his UFC bantamweight championship against the returning Henry Cejudo.
'Sugar' is expected to earn the next bantamweight title shot against the winner of Sterling vs. Cejudo. Meanwhile, he continues to get into exchanges with the two on social media and recently targeted 'Triple C.' He tweeted that if the former Olympic gold medalist were to fight Conor McGregor, the bout would end very quickly, writing:
"How fast would @TheNotoriousMMA beat @HenryCejudo. Faster than Aldo??"
The No.1 ranked bantamweight believes 'The Notorious' would finish Cejudo and even brought up Jose Aldo as an example. McGregor famously ended Aldo's legendary featherweight title reign via a 13-second knockout, which further propelled him to superstardom in the UFC.
The two have been going back and forth for months. Cejudo mentioned that the judges gifted 'Sugar' a split decision win against former bantamweight champion Petr Yan at UFC 280.
