When Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard slammed Democrats for "ideological fanaticism" over transgender inclusion in women's sports

Joe Rogan and Tulsi Gabbard once denounced the Democratic Party for advocating the inclusion of transgender athletes in women's sports. Rogan has consistently maintained that trans women should be excluded from women's sports, emphasizing that the inherent physical differences between biological males and females create an unfair competitive edge.

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience in October 2022, the seasoned UFC commentator questioned former Democratic Congresswoman Gabbard about why no politician from her former party has been addressing this controversial issue:

"At what point in time do you not understand you're denying a child a fair future? Like, you're f***ing them up because of this thing that doesn't even affect you. You're just doing it for this cult-like ideological perspective."

Gabbard expressed her belief that the Democratic Party has morphed into a dogmatic group that intimidates and silences anyone who dares to speak out against their agenda:

"The people in charge of the Democratic Party, whether they actually hold positions or are just influential within the party, have created this cult-like atmosphere. The Democratic party of the past, the Democratic party that I joined, doesn't exist anymore... And instead, we have a party that's being led by people who have gone insane with this ideological fanaticism."

When Joe Rogan slammed trans swimmer Lia Thomas for winning NCAA titles in the women's category

In a March 2023 episode of his podcast featuring physician Peter Attia, Joe Rogan criticized the participation of transgender women in sports, particularly highlighting the case of American swimmer Lia Thomas.

"Swimming, I mean that Lia Thomas is still the number one swimmer in the world, and it’s a biological male. Period. End of discussion. It’s madness. Just, the whole thing is so crazy that you can call yourself a woman and then you’re not a woman. And like, this has nothing to do with trans rights. It just has to do with humans." [h/t Fox Sports]

Thomas, who represented the University of Pennsylvania, made history as the first transgender athlete to win a top-tier National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) title by securing first place in the 500-yard freestyle final in March 2022.

Initially competing at the college level as a male, Thomas transitioned and began competing against women. Her eligibility was confirmed as she had undergone over a year of testosterone suppression treatment, meeting the required criteria to participate.
