"Wipe the coke out of your eyes" - Belal Muhammad claps back at Conor McGregor over latter's troll aimed at Beneil Dariush

Conor McGregor kept a close eye on the 2024 UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony but could not get one particular detail out of his mind. Of the group of six standout recipients, McGregor did not understand why Beneil Dariush stood amongst five other retired legends on June 27.

Not only did McGregor despise Dariush's presence on stage but he did not even recognize the lightweight contender, mistaking him for Belal Muhammad. 'The Notorious' tweeted his confusion, asking for public help in identifying the 35-year-old and informing him on why he was receiving a Hall of Fame nomination.

McGregor tweeted:

"WTF is your man Belal or what's his name doing up there? What's the guy's name next to Frankie WTF he up there for?"

Muhammad took note of the tweet and snapped back at the former champion for getting caught in the crossfire of an insult aimed at Dariush.

'Remember the Name' responded by alluding to McGregor's rumored drug use, writing:

"That's not me wipe the coke out of your eyes."

Of the six fighters honored at the ceremony, Dariush was the only fighter still on the UFC roster. The American was not getting inducted into the Hall of Fame but rather was present to receive the 2024 Forrest Griffin Community Award.

Conor McGregor's history with Belal Muhammad

Conor McGregor has never fought Belal Muhammad and is not likely to ever do so but for some reason holds a strange grudge against the welterweight contender. McGregor and Muhammad have never agreed with one another, often butting heads on social media.

'The Notorious's is often one to take shots at 'Remember the Name' on X for his fight style and personality.

Though McGregor has never clearly stated the root of his issue with Muhammad, the tension could stem from the Chicago native's association with the Eagles MMA team. Muhammad primarily trains with the Chicago Fight Team in Illinois but occasionally works with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, and the rest of the Eagles MMA gym.
