Robert Whittaker reveals his favorite video game growing up

Robert Whittaker is one of the best middleweight competitors in the world of mixed martial arts. He is also known for having another passion, and the Aussie recently revealed his favorite video game growing up.

Since moving up to middleweight, 'The Reaper' has been spectacular inside the cage and is easily one of the best fighters active in the sport. Although he is considered second best to Israel Adesanya, the former champion is more than capable of capturing 185lbs gold again and has proved this with stellar performances in the octagon.

On a recent episode of James Lynch's MMA Pros Pick, Robert Whittaker was asked what his best video game was growing up. The former UFC middleweight champion gave a definitive answer:

"Final Fantasy Tactics, without a doubt."

Whittaker is known for his love of RPG games, so it should come as no surprise that the critically acclaimed 'Final Fantasy Tactics' gaming series is high on the star's list.

The original 'Final Fantasy Tactics' was released in 1997 on PlayStation and quickly became a hit with the typical role-playing game audience. IGN gave the end product an 8.5/10, with Metacritic giving the strategic battle simulator a similar rating of 83/100.

Robert Whittaker's love for video games

Robert Whittaker is arguably best known in the gaming community for his fondness for the widely loved 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim'. The Bethesda release is easily one of the most recognized games across the world, and despite debuting back in 2011, it is still enjoyed by millions.

Not only does the elite UFC middleweight like 'Skyrim', he was also given the chance to voice his very own character in the game, with players able to venture through Whiterun and search for 'Robert the Reaper'.

His character has his very own fighting style, just like Whittaker does inside the cage in real life, and can be found teaching a group of young kids all about combat.

Another computer game that the 31-year-old has previously endorsed is 'The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind'. A clear lover of open-world role-playing games, the UFC star has opened up in the past about a number of memories regarding games he played as a kid and still does to this day.
