WWE/MMA News: Quinton Rampage Jackson says he'd 'whoop Brock Lesnar's ass'

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is a former light heavyweight champion

Brock Lesnar is not only a huge draw when it comes to the world of professional wrestling, but he is also quite the cash cow when he takes centre stage inside the UFC octagon.

Lesnar is a former NCAA Division I wrestler who utilises those skills along with his freakish athletic physique to dominate those who he steps inside of the cage or squared circle with, making him one of the most feared men in combat sports today. ‘The Beast’ is a former UFC heavyweight champion who has defeated the likes of Frank Mir, Shane Carwin, and Randy Couture.

While Lesnar may be one of the most feared men to have ever graced his presence in the Octagon, one such man does not fear the former WWE champion and even claims that he’ll ‘whoop’ him:

Jackson said: 'I don't think he could take me down. Brock is a great athlete, he adapts really fast, he learns really fast, I'm really impressed with him.

'He's the most popular fighter to come from pro wrestling to MMA, but I just think I could whoop his ass.

'I think I'd just hit Brock a couple of times and he'll be like, "ah I don't want no more" but I respect him a lot.'

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is a former UFC light heavyweight champion who has since departed from the company in favour of rival promotion Bellator MMA, while Lesnar’s MA future is in doubt after his failed United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) test came back positive for estrogen blockers. Lesnar’s last MMA contest took place in the co-main event of UFC 200 in which Lesnar collided with decorated striker and Australian knockout artist Mark Hunt in what was viewed as a rather dangerous matchup for Lesnar’s return.

Jackson is currently competing in the heavyweight division in Bellator now. Coming off of a split decision win over Satoshi Ishii at Bellator 157: Dynamite 2 this past June. Jackson has been a veteran of the MMA game for almost seventeen years while Lesnar has only been competing in the sport since 2007.

Lesnar’s success in the sport, however, has mainly been due to his athleticism rather than sheer fighting talent. Regardless, a matchup between Lesnar and Jackson would be a huge money fight that would have all professional wrestling and MMA fans alike tuning in.
