WWE News: UFC star Conor McGregor takes a cheap shot at John Cena
UFC star Conor McGregor on his recent conference call to promote his UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz, when asked about whether he would like to ever switch to pro-wrestling answered in the most Conor McGregor way possible by saying and I quote,
"I have thought about WWE," McGregor said on the call. "For the most part, I think these guys are pussies, to be honest. They're messed up pu****s if you ask me. Fair play to Brock (Lesnar); he got in and fought, but at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the fucking eyeballs. How can I respect that? The other guy (CM Punk) hasn't fought yet, so I don't know about him yet."
This resulted in an insane fury amongst the Internet Westling Community against the UFC fighter. McGregor was bombarded with harassment online from the IWC following his comments. Resulting in McGregor retaliating in his own way against the WWE fans by saying and I quote,
"I didn't mean no disrespect to the WWE fans, what I meant to say was that I'd slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday's."
This culminated in several WWE Superstars like Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston and Sasha Banks responding back against the Notorious One.
However, McGregor still isn’t backing down from making such statements against the WWE Superstars, and this time he wen really big by making John Cena the biggest superstar in the WWE since the past decade, his target. He says and I quote,
“What's the main guy? John Cena? He's 40 years of age walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and headband talking about no one can see him. You can see him right there — he's a big fat 40 year old failed Mr. Olympian (expletive). Do you know what I mean? They're dweebs those guys.”
Conor McGregor making a statement like this against John Cena can really put him in a tough spot with the entire WWE as we all know that Cena has a lot of influence on Vinnie Mac, but, considering the clean-cut image Cena has I don’t think there will be any backlash (pun not intended) from this, and Cena hasn’t given any comments of his own as of yet. The only question everyone is still asking is,” is it a work between WWE and McGregor?” or “is it just that McGregor’s enjoying throwing shit at the company?”
Whatever that may be Conor has a fight against Nate Diaz in the coming weeks and maybe this is all just to get some heat for that match.
