Fans urge Colby Covington to "stop ducking" Khamzat Chimaev
A group of fans have bombarded Colby Covington's latest post on social media. While some are urging him to stop wasting his prime years, others are demanding him to "stop ducking" Khamzat Chimaev.
'Chaos' has been out of the cage for almost nine months. Although talk of his return is beginning to heat up, nothing has been made official regarding his comeback to active competition. The welterweight put on a dominant display the last time he stepped foot into the octagon with a decision win over Jorge Masvidal.
After sharing a post on social media, Colby Covington was confronted by a number of his supporters who are all eagerly awaiting his return and a potential push towards a title shot:
While some were cordial, others pushed him to stop avoiding a fight against the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev. Reports have suggested Dana White has been attempting to get the two welterweights matched up against one another.
The NCAA Division I wrestler has an ongoing legal issue with fellow UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal after 'Gamebred' allegedly assaulted his former teammate in the streets of Miami following their fight in March.

Is Colby Covington vs. Khamzat Chimaev next?
As previously mentioned, Dana White has confirmed that the UFC is working on pairing the two welterweight stars together. It seems Khamzat Chimaev has other plans as Colby Covington remains silent.
Wanting to stay active in the octagon, Chimaev is seemingly fed up with waiting on Covington's approval to fight. Instead, 'Borz' has begun chasing multiple opponents, with his eyes firmly set on the 170lb and 185lb titles.
Chimaev has always shown an interest in moving up to compete for the middleweight strap, and he sees no better time to do that than now after Alex Pereira was crowned champion at UFC 281.
