You can enchant equipment in Brighter Shores pretty early and easily (although expensive) in the game, and it is advised to do so given the benefits it brings in. You can start enchanting equipment from Hopeport town.
This guide details everything you need to know about enchanting gear in Brighter Shores.
Who can enchant equipment in Brighter Shores?
To begin enchanting equipment, you’ll need to find the Enchantress in Hopeport. The Enchantress is in Old Street East — reach there by heading two maps to the right from the central Town Square. You’ll know you’re on the right path when you encounter the town gates and a gathering of crows in the area. The Enchantress's shop is on the southern part of the street.
After finding the shop, go in to enchant your gear. While the crows in this area are passive and will do nothing if left alone, you can increase your guard levels by attacking them.

Reasons to enchant equipment in Brighter Shores
When you enchant equipment in Brighter Shores, it provides a permanent experience boost for that item type, which significantly raises your growth in various professions. For instance, an enchanted Fishing Spear gains a lasting experience boost allowing you to level up your fishing skill faster each time it is used.
Another benefit of enchantments is that the boost is bound to your character rather than the individual item. This means that if you later upgrade to a new version of a previously enchanted tool, the experience boost remains active on the new gear. This small detail will save hundreds of hours.
