Brighter Shores Hopeforest Main Quest: How to find 3 magic items for Giant Crystal
The Brighter Shores Hopeforest region is bustling and teeming with life, and a lot of corruption. You must venture out to see the source of this vile evil and put a stop to it. To do this, you will need three magical items to help heal the Giant Crystal.
That said, here is how to go about gathering the three magic items to heal the Giant Crystal in Hopeforest.
Where to find 3 magical items in Brighter Shores Hopeforest
As mentioned, there are three items you will need to find: Glowing Fern, Glowing Honey, and Glowing Mushroom. While the last item will be the easiest to obtain, the other two will require a bit of experience in combat.
How to get the Glowing Fern in Brighter Shores Hopeforest
To get the Glowing Fern, you'll have to prepare for some prolonged combat. However, before that, you should craft Coarse Ash planks (4). You will need them for the quest at hand.
To start this part of the quest, travel to the Hopeforest Ferry area. Take the Mine Road West to the east of Hopeforest, and finally head south. Keep an eye out for trees that will flank the roads. That's a sign that you are on the right path.

Once you reach the Hopeforest Ferry, the Ferryman will break some bad news to you. His Ferry is beyond repair. Thankfully, you've come prepared for just the occasion. Using the Coarse Ash planks (4), you will have the Ferry river-worthy lickety-split. This is where the second part of this quest in Brighter Shores Hopeforest begins.
Halfway across the river, the Ferry gets a little nudge. At first, it seems as if it could have hit a rock, but soon enough, it becomes evident that there's a Mutant Newt in the water. Of course, given the stereotypical nature of mutants in video games, it attacks the Ferry without a second thought.

Despite the Mutant Newt having a lot of HP, you will not have to worry about it dealing damage to you. Each time it goes to attack, the area in which the attack will land lights up. Pay attention to this marker, and take a step back to avoid receiving damage. Rinse and repeat until the Mutant Newt you defeat it. Remember to fix the Ferry between attacks. Once completed, cross the river and the Glowing Fern will be yours.
How to get the Glowing Honey in Brighter Shores Hopeforest
If fighting the Mutant Newt was not enough to get the blood pumping in this Brighter Shores Hopeforest quest, you'll have another monster to fight. To get the Glowing Honey, you'll first have to reach the Two-Headed Bear Clearing, which is north of Bear Clearing.
To help you fine tune your search, the location is north of Hopeforest Central Portal. Head further north to Stump Clearing and turn left. Once you reach the Two-Headed Bear Clearing, you can make a mad dash to get the Glowing Honey from the tree. Suffice it to say, this will not go according to plan.
A Giant Two-Headed Bear will spawn, which of course, you will have to defeat to get access to the Glowing Honey. The fight is not too difficult, but you will have to be tactical about it. Once it has been defeated, collect the Glowing Honey using the Jar.
How to get the Glowing Mushroom in Brighter Shores Hopeforest
To get the Glowing Mushroom, you have to make your way to Crystal Clearing and visit the Mushroom Grove. It is south of Bramble Path and west of the Overgrown Trail.
You will need a Woodcutting level 8 to clear the brambles that block your path. Once you have access to the Grove, walk in and collect the Glowing Mushroom. This is as easy as it gets, and there is no combat involved. Once you collect all three items, you can go back to the Giant Crystal in Brighter Shores Hopeforest to cure it.
