Brighter Shores player count: How many people are playing the Early Access?
Brighter Shores is a new point-and-click massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) available as a free-to-play title on Steam. While some gameplay content can be accessed without spending money, the game offers a premium track that unlocks more regions and features. Currently in its Early Access phase, it has attracted several players since its launch on November 6, 2024.
At the time of writing, there are around 9,300 active players. Brighter Shores offers players the chance to experience various professions and a beginner storyline through which they can fight different monsters and discover magical secrets. The developers, Fen Research, have stated that it comes with a developing story and several hours of gameplay in the game’s official description.

What is the player count of Brighter Shores?
Brighter Shores can be played through Steam and downloaded for free. The game saw a peak of 21,272 players after it was released on the platform. At the time of writing this article, there are around 9,300 active players. However, these numbers are subject to change once the player count is updated in the future.

The game has reportedly received over 1,000 positive reviews in its Early Access phase. This places the MMORPG under Mixed reviews on Steam with approximately 64% positive reviews. It is important to note that the peak and average player counts may increase after the devs release new updates for the game or during its full release.
MMORPG games generally take a while to compete against other popular titles. This process can be tedious, as the devs would need to bring in new gameplay content and continue the ongoing storyline without disrupting the pace of the game.

The current free-to-play version of the title allows players to experience Hopeport City and Hopeport Forest. Alternatively, you can choose to purchase the Premium Pass and access both these places alongside Mine of Mantuban and Crenopolis.
The pass will also allow you to equip a unique character name for yourself. After reaching Crenopolis, you can use special armor dyes, change your name, and trade with different players in the game.
