Cold Front is a Kinetic Submachine Gun in Destiny 2 that is exclusive only to the Dawning event loot pool. While this weapon might seem like an average primary gear piece waiting to be dismantled, it has something that none of its peers do. It is also an Aggressive Framed automatic weapon that fires at 720 RPM, which has its usage for both PvE and PvP.

Here is a list of all perks recommended on the Cold Front for PvE:
- Smallbore for increased Stability and Range.
- Flared Magwell for increased reload speed and Stability.
- Rewind Rounds to get back ammunition based on the number of hits.
- Attrition Orbs to create Orbs of Power after sustained damage on a target.
The perks mentioned above are meant for 100% healing uptime through orbs, and generation of orbs via the Attrition Orbs perk. Cold Front is the only Submachine Gun in the Kinetic slot to have this perk, and you are recommended to make full use of it in your build.
Other alternatives include Unrelenting and Frenzy, alongside Subsistence and Rampage.

- Hammer Forged Rifling for increased Range on the weapon

How to get Cold Front in Destiny 2
Eva Levante at the Tower holds the key to getting Dawning weapons in the game. Cold Front can be picked up in exchange for 1 Gift in Return and 21 Dawning Spirit. This will drop a randomized version of the Cold Front. For double perks, purchase upgrades from Eva in exchange for Spirits.
Note that Cold Front cannot be crafted in any way. However, you can enhance the perks by leveling the weapon up using materials.
