Diablo 4 players no longer need to rerun class quests after S7

Diablo 4 is about to put an end to needlessly redoing class quests when Season 7 launches. Each time you create a new character, class quests must be redone over and over and after seven seasons, it has become a tedious or mind-numbing affair. You may want to continue grinding Helltides or pushing through content that will give you a seasonal reputation, instead of having to repeat a boring level 15 or 30 quest.

Thankfully, that’s about to change. One of the features discussed during the Diablo 4 Campfire Chat was putting an end to rerunning class quests with the 2.1 update. While they won't need to be played over and over again, there are reportedly going to be some benefits to doing so.

Season 7 puts an end to repeatedly doing class quests in Diablo 4

Depending on how often you reroll in Diablo 4, redoing class quests can be considered a chore at best. This especially goes for fans of seasonal content or hardcore runners. Having to redo such quests — clearing the Strongholds or whichever content is required first — can be frustrating.

This change will streamline the leveling process, preventing players from feeling compelled to stop and complete class quests, while still reaping the benefits.

Among the many quality-of-life features, you will not have to repeat class quests you've completed at least once on a character in Diablo 4. You will automatically gain benefits upon attaining the appropriate level. The only requirement is for you to complete your class quests once for the class you wish to re-roll.

This will stop you from having to clear the Tul Dulra Stronghold to progress as a Druid or revisit the earliest spots in the game as a Sorcerer. That said, it may not really be a bad idea to go back and do some of these quests once Season 7 rolls out.

The developers teased that there may be some benefits to repeating these quests. While the Campfire Chat participants didn’t provide specifics, it was teased that the quests, when repeated on other characters, will offer new rewards.

Whether this leads to easier Runes, Legendaries, or even Uniques remains to be seen. Nonetheless, when Season 7 is out, class quests need not be repeated.
