Diablo 4 Season 7 PTR start date, schedule, and what you need to know
Diablo 4’s Season 7 PTR is going to be available soon, and for a change, players will be able to make their way through the new seasonal content as well. In addition to checking out the new powers and abilities, players will be able to test the various balance changes that are coming to the game.
Like with all PTRs (Public Test Realms), it’s worth noting that things could change, not just during that time, but as we get closer to Season 7 in January 2025. There’s a lot to be excited about in the coming season, but player feedback is important, so the PTR is going to open for Diablo 4 Season 7 soon.
When will the Diablo 4 Season 7 PTR be available?
Diablo 4 Season 7’s PTR will open on December 3, 2024. This is for PC players only, though. The Public Test Realms will be open from December 3 through December 10, 2024. To take part, you just need to open up the Battle.net client and select the dropdown tab for D4, and install “Public Test Realm”.
Players can try out the various features and updates to the game, and offer feedback. That said, the purpose really isn’t to figure out what the most overpowered thing is — because that build could certainly change. The developers cannot possibly find everything, so player feedback is crucial. But which aspects of the title will be available in the PTR?
What content will be available during the Diablo 4 Season 7 PTR?
There are some major changes coming in Diablo 4 Season 7’s 2.1 update, and many of these are going to be available on the PTR. Players will have access to all the new Witch Powers, the new Runes, and much more. If you want to know the content that will be available for testing, you can find it below:
- The Armory
- Season 7 content - Witchcraft, Headrotten, Occult Gems
- New Runes
- New Uniques/Legendary Aspects
- Updates to Tree of Whispers
You will also have access to Account Copy, which lets you take your Account data/characters and copy them over, alongside a variety of useful boosts. If you want to test the new Uniques, for example, you can try those out.
If you own Vessel of Hatred, you’ll also have access to the Runes. Otherwise, you won’t see those. There’s plenty of content to give feedback on, over the testing week. Blizzard recommends players use the D4 PTR forums, but you can also report bugs through the in-game menu.
For those who don’t want to journey to the forums, you can press the Esc key on your keyboard, click the “Report a bug” dropdown filter, and choose “In-game Feedback” instead.
