Does Towers of Aghasba have crossplay? Cross-platform features explored
Towers of Aghasba is now in Early Access, and fans are wondering when or if it will have crossplay. One of the best features of games like this, is the ability to play with your friends, no matter what platform it’s on. While the game is only available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Linux, those gamers will no doubt want to work together on the system that works best for them.
However, there’s both good news and bad news on that front. The good news is that Towers of Aghasba is going to have crossplay for these platforms. The bad news is that the regular early access launch will not have this oft-requested feature.
Towers of Aghasba will have crossplay at a later date
Towers of Aghasba will have crossplay, according to the roadmap of the game. The developers will not have it out at launch, though it is planned at this time for Q2 2025. That means it could show up between April 1 through June 30, but even this is subject to change.
Crossplay will be added as a part of the Multiplayer Experiences and Activities section of the Q2 2025 updates, which will also add new creatures and new quests besides bringing crossplay to Towers of Aghasba. There are other major features coming ahead of crossplay — this includes offline play, which will certainly be something many players request.
Crossplay is an important feature in most online games, but especially in the Survival/Crafting genre. Being able to team up and conquer monsters and build huge facilities is such a fun thing to do with friends. It's also a great way to potentially make new friends.
Unfortunately, not everyone plays on the same platform. Players with weaker PCs may prefer to play on console, or they may also just want to sit on their couch or bed to play, instead of sitting upright at a desk.
While it’s unfortunate that crossplay won’t hit Towers of Agasba until Spring 2025, players can rest assured that it is on the way. If this should change — whether coming later, or sooner, we’ll update this accordingly.
