How to get Lump of Clay in Enshrouded
A Lump of Clay is a very useful material in Enshrouded since it allows players to craft a wide variety of items. Whether you want to craft some simple clay pottery or make a Kiln to craft items from the Carpenter survivor, it’s worth knowing where to get this resource. Although it is fairly common and has a distinct look, it may not be entirely obvious where to find it initially. However, once you get to know some farming spots, you won’t run out of it anytime soon.
If you want to get the most out of the Lump of Clay in Enshrouded, you’ll need to find at least one of the Survivors - in particular, the Carpenter. Here's what you need to do to amass large piles of clay.
Where to farm Lump of Clay in Enshrouded
If you want to be ahead of the game in Enshrouded, you’ll want to farm Lumps of Clay. It’s used in one of the Carpenter quests after you free them from the Vault. That quest will task you with building a Kiln, which requires about 10 Lumps of Clay. Thankfully, you can come across this resource before you ever even find this NPC.
You will have access to a Lump of Clay once you start exploring in earnest. When you're ready, head north of the Farmer’s Ancient Vault, exactly where the player marker is on the image above. There’s plenty of clay you can grab here. Just equip a pickaxe and get to work! However, you might run into some level 1 boars so be on your guard at all times.
This is not the only place from where you can farm Lumps of Clay. Another popular spot is in Revelwood, west of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. You can also travel north of the Springlands Ancient Spire, to Diadwyn, where there is plenty of clay as well as other resources. I prefer the area north of the Farmer Ancient Vault, as I can also find Copper Ore there - but you can also find that around Diadwyn.
I had 50+ Lumps of Clay in no time while farming near the Farmer’s Ancient Vault, but the other locations are just as good. Head to whichever area you prefer and you won't be disappointed.
What to use Lump of Clay on in Enshrouded
In addition to making a Kiln, you can do quite a few things with Lumps of Clay. It is a material used in quite a few crafting pieces, many of which are available from the Carpenter Survivor:
