If you want Hardwood in Enshrouded, it won’t be too hard to come by. As long as you have a sturdy axe and a bit of time on your hands, you can shore up just as much as you might need. There are a few places you can go for it, and once you have the Carpenter, you may find that you need large amounts of Hardwood to make all the nice furnishings you have your eyes on.

The key is to know where to go to amass a huge amount of Hardwood in Enshrouded, and we’re here to help. Once you’ve completed the Carpenter’s Vault and are ready to start making neat objects, here’s where you find Hardwood to do just that.

Where to farm Hardwood in Enshrouded

There are quite a few places in Enshrouded to farm Hardwood, though one of the earliest we found was near the Farmer’s Ancient Vault. Much like Lumps of Clay, you can farm Hardwood up here, if you know where to look. You do have to look out for enemies still, as there are Level 11 boars and potentially other dangerous foes in the area.

Once you’ve walked past the Farmer’s Ancient Vault, head to the location on the map above. You can wander throughout this part of the map and find plenty of Hardwood. Just look for the massive, moss-covered trees and get to work. We had 50+ pieces of it in virtually no time -— though you do need to pack an axe, that’s for sure. If you have the Blacksmith, get a Felling Axe to make this go faster.

While there are likely other places to get Hardwood, this is far and away the best one we’ve found so far. There are plenty of trees to chop down across the Revelwood, but this was the location where we found the most success.

Uses for Hardwood in Enshrouded

Without the Carpenter, Hardwood is virtually useless. When you do have him and can start making some of their fancier recipes, start putting that Hardwood to use. There are several recipes you can create to increase the comfort level of your home, and that’s never a bad thing.

There are also other things you can make with it, through crafters like the Bard. Through them, you can make a cosmetic armor set — The Explorer Set. It uses Hardwood, among other crafting materials.

  • Explorer Boots
  • Explorer Coat
  • Explorer Gloves
  • Explorer Helmet
  • Explorer Pants

There are also other things you can make, such as the Guardian Shield, Hand Drum, Lute, and more. It’s a valuable crafting material — once you have the Survivors available to put it to use.
