Enshrouded: How to move your Flame Altar (and your base)
The Flame Altar is one of the most essential structures you must prioritize building in Enshrouded. It helps to increase the time you can survive in the Shroud and also boosts your character's abilities. Flame Altars are also needed for fast travel in the game. However, you must be careful if you want to move your Altar and relocate your base, as the latter will be destroyed if you do not have another Altar ready.
In this article, we explain how to move your Flame Altar in this survival action RPG.
How to move your Flame Altar and base in Enshrouded
You can move your Flame Altar in Enshrouded through two methods:
Relocate your Altar to a different spot around your base
Follow this method if you are not satisfied with the placement of your Altar. If you want to move your Flame Altar to the back of your base from the front, you will need to build another Altar.
Go to crafting and select the Flame Altar. Then, go to the spot where you want it to be. Note that your base should be within the boundaries of the Altar. Once you have placed the new Altar at your desired spot, extinguish the Flame on the older one.
Do not extinguish your first Flame before placing your new Altar. This is because when an Altar is extinguished, all the structures and items within its boundaries will lose their protection and be destroyed by the Shroud. So, build a new Altar first to ensure your items are protected.
The level of your Flame will remain the same on the new Altar. However, the level of the new Altar will reset and must be upgraded.

Relocate your base and Altar to a new location
If you want to move your Flame Altar and your base to a new location, you will first need to build another Altar. Thereafter, you can relocate your base to that location.
Then, extinguish your previous Flame. Relocate your base to the new Altar first, as it will be destroyed once you extinguish the older Flame. As mentioned, your Flame level will stay the same but your new Altar will need to be upgraded.

You cannot really move your Flame Altar in the game, as doing so means you must build another one before extinguishing the other to ensure your base is not destroyed.
