How to increase your inventory (backpack) size in Enshrouded
In Enshrouded, your inventory or backpack might get full very easily since you have to gather a lot of materials for crafting, cooking, and other tasks. Unfortunately, inventory space getting overloaded is a problem with most games of this genre. You might need to discard certain items to get new ones, or you might have to cut your exploration short to empty your inventory of excess materials. Fortunately, Enshrouded gives you a third option as it allows you to increase the space in your inventory.
This article will walk you through how you can increase your inventory (Backpack) size in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded: How to increase inventory (backpack) size?
The only way for you to increase your inventory size in Enshrouded is by crafting a Backpack. however, you need to find the Hunter NPC before you can unlock the Backpack recipe.

Finding the Hunter
The Hunter can be found in her Ancient Vault, northeast of the Braelyn Bridge. You have to fight through enemies to reach this location. Once inside, you can wake the Hunter up.
You might have already unlocked the Hunter, as finding her is one of the main quests in the game. However, if you do not have the quest yet, you can use storage chests as an alternative to a backpack.

Crafting the Backpack
After unlocking the Hunter, you will get the recipe for the Small Backpack which increases your inventory size by eight extra spots. It requires the following materials to craft:
- Torn Cloth x3
- Dried Fur x4
- String x5
The Hunter is important as you need to get the recipe for the Drying Rack from her. The Drying Rack is the only place where you can craft Dried Fur using Animal Fur and Salt.
When you obtain the needed materials, you will unlock the recipes for the Medium and Large Backpacks. They will help to increase your inventory space by 16 and 24 extra spots respectively. The materials needed for crafting them are:
Medium Backpack:
- Dried Fur x6
- Linen x6
Large Backpack
- Leather x5
- Linen x5
