What's the maximum number of Skill Points you can get in Enshrouded?

Skill Points in Enshrouded are one of the most important aspects of the game, as they allow you to customize and build your character. With each level, you get Skill Points that you can use to unlock various abilities and upgrades via the Skill Tree.

Currently, the maximum number of Skill Points you can get in Enshrouded is 149. This is a new cap. Previously, the cap on Skill Points was much lower. After the recently released Souls of the Frozen Frontier update, many changes and new content have been added to the game, including the new extended Skill Point cap.

Previously, the Skill Point level cap in Enshrouded was 25, providing 50 Skill Points at two points per level. After the Souls of the Frozen Frontier update, the level cap has been raised to 35, granting a total of 68 Skill Points.

In addition to leveling, you can obtain Skill Points from 33 Shrouded Roots, each rewarding one point, and 16 Elixir Wells, which now collectively provide 48 Skill Points (three points each). These changes bring the new maximum Skill Points cap to 149, compared to the earlier limit of 114.

To make the most of the increased Skill Point cap, focus on leveling up, exploring for Shrouded Roots, and unlocking Elixir Wells. To reach Level 35 as fast as you can, prioritize activities that grant high experience, such as completing quests, defeating mobs, and exploring newly introduced areas.

Even with the 149-point cap, unlocking every ability in the expanded Skill Tree remains impossible. The Souls of the Frozen Frontier update introduces new abilities, including Grappling Hook enhancements, on which you’ll want to allocate points for these upgrades. The Grappling Hook now doubles as a combat tool, allowing players to pull flying enemies closer or quickly close gaps with larger foes.

Keep in mind that you shouldn’t invest too much in low-impact abilities that provide minimal or situational benefits. Focus instead on core weapon specializations, defensive buffs for survivability, and utility skills that improve crafting, resource gathering, or stamina management.
