How does multiplayer work in Enshrouded?

Enshrouded is a survival-action RPG developed by Keen Games. Like other such titles, playing multiplayer with friends makes the experience more fun. The game offers you the option to play co-op multiplayer with your friends, and there are a couple of ways on how you can do this. Up to 16 people are allowed to play co-op in the game.

In this article, we will talk about how multiplayer works in Enshrouded.

Once you start Enshrouded and load up a new game, you will get three options to choose from:

  • Private: In this mode, you start a private game that gets saved locally.
  • Host: Here, you start a server where your game gets saved locally.
  • Join: This mode allows you to join an active public server.

Host and Join are the two modes that you need to look at if you want to play co-op.

Host a game

In this mode, you host a multiplayer game that is public and can be joined by a maximum of 16 players. It is open by default, allowing anyone to join in. However, if you want to keep the server somewhat private, like for just you and your friends, you can set up a password for joining. Then, only those who have that password can join the game.
