How to get Sand in Enshrouded

Sand in Enshrouded is one of the most essential materials you will need to find to craft other useful items. It's not hard to find as it doesn’t need to be harvested from specific nodes. However, unlocking the region where you can find sand needs some effort. Nevertheless, once you get access to the location, you can just come whenever you want and stockpile Sand as much as you want.

To gather Sand, you'll need to access the Kindlewastes, the fifth and final biome in Enshrouded. To get access to this area, upgrade your Flame Altar to Level 4. Once you have access to the Kindlewastes, head to this vast desert biome to start gathering Sand. The area is predominantly sandy, so you can simply dig anywhere using your Pickaxe to collect Sand. Unlike other materials like Sulfur, you don’t need to find specific nodes to harvest Sand.

However, keep in mind that Kindlewastes is home to various dangerous enemies. Equip yourself with upgraded weapons and armor to survive encounters with these tough foes. If possible, consider teaming up with a friend in co-op mode to make resource gathering much safer.

Crafting a Pickaxe for Sand Mining

Before you set off to gather Sand, ensure you have a Pickaxe, as it’s required to mine Sand from the ground. If you don't already have one, craft it using the following materials:

1x String
1x Stone
4x Twigs

This basic Pickaxe is sufficient for gathering Sand in the Kindlewastes, so make sure you have it ready before entering the biome.

Glass: Requires 30x Sand + 5x Charcoal
Fertilized Farm Soil: Requires 10x Sand + 3x Nitrate + 2x Fossilized Bone Dust
Beehive Smoker: Requires 2x Sand + 3x Lumps of Clay + 3x Strings
