Enshrouded Sun Temple Stories quest guide
Enshrouded has several crafting companions giving you different types of quests. For instance, The Carpenter provides you with the Sun Temple Stories quest, which leads you to the Sun Temple in Brittlebush in the Kindlewastes region. The temple there is haunted, and your task is to defeat the evil spirit that haunts it. This spirit, a Specter called the Fell Sicklescythe, can be a difficult enemy to defeat, and it dishes out a lot of damage.
This article will walk you through the Sun Temple Stories quest in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded: Sun Temple Stories quest guide
In order to start the Sun Temple Stories quest, you need to talk to the Carpenter, Cade Hawthorn, after you complete the Black Cauldron quest for the Alchemist. As soon as you ask Hawthorn about the Sun Temple, he will tell you to speak to one of your other companions — the Farmer named Emily Fray.
When you ask Fray about haunted Sun Temples, she will talk about one nearby from where she used to live in the Kindlewastes region. Hereon, your quest begins.
You must head to Brittlebush, an enemy encampment near the Kindewastes Ancient Spire. Jump down and glide from the Ancient Spire towards Brittlebush, and then run to the center of the settlement.
Once there, you will find a staircase on the northern side that leads to the entrance to the Sun Temple. When you enter the temple, you will find a Lore Book on a pike that has a message from Elin: "The Walls Are Alive". This hints towards the evil spirit that you are about to face.

Then, follow the marker till you reach a locked doorway. You will need a Lockpick to open it. If you don't have one, you can craft it using Metal Scraps that you can get from slain enemies or the bodies littering the area.
Once unlocked, go through the door and you will see another door. Once you go through the second door, you will see two staircases on either side. Go up the eastern staircase and through the hallway to reach the east chamber. You will see a glowing symbol there. Interact with it, as it is one of the two symbols you need to unlock the puzzle door further below.
Then, get back down through the stairs and continue down the central staircase to reach the second symbol. Once you are down the central stairs, turn left and go down one more staircase. Turn left again, and the symbol will be on the wall.
Go back up to the central staircase and continue further down into the temple using the stairs. When you reach the bottom, you will find the locked door with two symbols above it and a chest next to it. The door will be unlocked, as you have already interacted with the two symbols.

When you go through the door, you will enter a large chamber where the Fell Sicklescythe (the main boss in Sun Temple Stories) is located. Be careful while fighting it, as it has a strong ranged attack where it throws two sickles at you.
Use the terrain and objects as cover, and fight the Fell Sicklescythe as you prefer. It is a floating boss, so you can fight it in whatever way you feel is easier for you. Remember to destroy the beetle nests to make them stop spawning.
Once you defeat the Fell Sicklescythe, you will have completed the Sun Temple Stories quest in Enshrouded. The chamber also has a large chest with good rewards, so don't forget to loot that.
