Final Fantasy 14: Starlight Celebration event guide (2024)

Final Fantasy 14’s Starlight Celebration event is underway and is only available for a limited time. While it’s in-game for a few weeks, the rewards are certainly worth investing the time in. Thankfully, unlike several other MMOs on the market, FF14 makes its holiday events a short, decent time investment. As long as you’re level 15 on a combat job and have access to Old Gridania, you can take part.

It’s a great time to come back to Final Fantasy 14 and join the Starlight Celebration quest, as patch 7.15 has already dropped. If you don’t know how or where to start this holiday event, we’ve got you covered.

How to start the Final Fantasy 14 Starlight Celebration 2024

Final Fantasy 14’s Starlight Celebration 2024 will be available in-game from December 16, 2024, (12 am PST) until December 31, 2024 (6:59 am PST). As long as it’s between those times, you can head to Old Gridania and get this quest started. The only MSQ requirement is that you are a level 15. You don’t even need to be a combat class! The quest didn’t disappear or blank out when I was a Weaver.

Once you’re ready, teleport to New Gridania, and make your way to Mih Khetto’s Ampitheater (10.2, 9.4) in Old Gridania. Speak to Amh Garanjy, and you can get this quest series underway.

Once you’ve spoken to Amh Garanjy in Final Fantasy 14, you can begin the first Starlight Celebration quest - Reach for the Stalls. There’s a new attraction for the Starlight Celebration - the Starlight Stalls.

However, the stalls aren’t cooperating, and setup has become seemingly impossible. That’s where the Warrior of Light comes in, ready to fix things for the holidays. When you’re ready, speak to the Starlight Stalls Guide, and they’ll teleport you to the Starlight Stalls map. Speak with Amh once again when you arrive.

From there, you must find and chat with three nearby busy workers. All of them are nearby, so it won’t take too much effort, and they don’t have a lot to say. Hear them out, and return to Ahm, speaking with her again.

Everyone’s doing their best, but the cold, combined with running their own stalls, has exhausted the workers. You’re given two choices of what you can do to potentially raise their spirits and warm them up:

  • Something sweet never fails to perk me up!
  • How about handing out hot drinks?

We chose “hot drinks” because it’s only natural — who doesn’t want hot chocolate on a bitterly cold day? This will cause two more NPCs to show up and introduce themselves as lovers of the Starlight Celebration in Final Fantasy 14. Amh will ask you to bring these two helpers to aid in warming up the busy workers.

This concludes the first quest, and you can immediately pick up the next one, Spreading the Warmth and Cheer. The two have a great idea for a warm drink to perk everyone up and run off quickly. Your next destination is the Carline Canopy, and you’ll find one of the girls near The Roost in New Gridania.

She was waiting for you to go inside since their parents said not to enter the Carline Canopy alone. Miounne, it turns out, is all too glad to help. Take the mulled punch back to the workers and perk them up for this step of Final Fantasy 14’s Starlight Celebration. Before you can leave though, a familiar face shows up as the Saint of Nymeia.

The cutscene will take you outside to him and his holiday-themed chocobo. It’s a Starlight Chocobo. All you have to do is head back to the Starlight Stalls. Speak to the NPC and then the chocobo and you can progress to the next step.

With the chocobo following you, speak to the NPCs the game highlights, and brighten their day with the mulled punch. Return to Saulinne with the chocobo and your next objective will be to go back to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre.

Speaking to Ahm will trigger another cutscene for Final Fantasy 14’s Starlight Celebration. You’ll see the huge, lit-up tree, and all the guests milling about the Starlight Stalls. It’s a really peaceful, serene moment, for sure. After a cup of mulled punch, speak to Ahm again, and claim your Starlight Stalls Chocobo Barding and Starlight Kinderpunsch, as well as your holiday achievement.
