How to emote in Atlyss
Emotes are virtual expressions that players can use to interact with their allies in Atlyss. Players can always use an emote to interact with others, especially when they are not using the in-game chat. In any case, the usage of emotes is nothing new in co-op games.
Atlyss is no different in that regard, as it gives the players complete freedom to use several emotes, with a few of them being locked behind different races and commands.
This article dives into the emote feature of the game, and a few commands you can use to perform different interactions either by yourself or in front of your friends.
Emoting guide and commands for Atlyss
Emotes in Atlyss can be activated by entering specific commands in the chat window. For example, some commands allow you to sit, clap, taunt, think, and much more.
As mentioned, a few emotes also rely on a character's race. Players must have these races unlocked to perform these emotes. Note that these animations will not change based on your gender and can be performed regardless.
To perform an emote, open up your chat window. The window can be anything, from Global to local zones and even Whisper window.
Next, put in a command followed by the "/" symbol in chat. For example, if you want your character to clap, put "/clap" in chat to make them perform the animation. The same goes for other animations and commands.
Here is a list of all commands and emotes that are available in the game:
- /think
- /ponder
- /taunt (different animation for races)
- /sit (different animation for races)
- /dance (different animation for races)
- /point
- /nod
- /shrug
- /sit2 (chang race only)
Players can expect more emotes to be added to the game with future updates. For now, the aforementioned emotes are the only ones available.
Note that the emotes that do not have the "different animation for races" tag beside them have the same animation across all races.
The different races, such as Imp, Poon, Kubold, and Burdle, have different animations for taunt, sit, and dance. The Chang are the only race currently to have an extra sit animation.
