How to get Keelan in The First Descendant

Keelan in The First Descendant is the newest champion introduced in the game's season 2. Being a Toxic Descendant, he has many damage-over-time (DoT) skills and some great ranged attacks that can deal serious damage to enemy groups as well as bosses. With a good build, Keelan can be effective as both a controller and a damage dealer.

How to find the necessary parts for unlocking Keelan in The First Descendant

The first step toward unlocking Keelan is to complete the Forgotten Records Quest. This mission will give you access to the Void Vessel operations, where you can farm materials for Keelan.

You can run Void Vessel operations on either Normal or Hard difficulty. We highly recommend the latter, as it offers a higher chance of obtaining the materials required for Keelan. Completing these missions will grant you materials, Decryption Keys, and a chance to get Keelan or the dog (Fellow). The mission rewards vary based on the difficulty level as you clear time.

The faster you complete the mission, the better the chance of finding good loot at the end of your run. Apart from the mission completion rewards, you can also find Keelan's parts in various chests you come across in the mission; you will need Decryption Keys to open them. These keys can be found in crates scattered throughout the Void Vessel mission.

Broken Chests do not require a Decryption Key to open, and are a source of common planetary materials, which are not guaranteed to drop the parts for Keelan in The First Descendant. Use the keys on Experimental Chests to access materials for Keelan and the dog, as these offer the best chance to gather the required parts.

The mission's final boss drops six Decryption Keys upon defeat if you're playing on Hard difficulty. Each chest at the end of the mission has a chance to drop Keelan’s parts. If you don’t get the desired materials, repeat the mission until you do. Once you've gathered all the necessary ones, research them in-game. The crafting process for unlocking Keelan in The First Descendant typically takes eight hours per part.
