How to get Secateurs in Brighter Shores
If you're trying to level the Forager profession in Brighter Shores, you will likely run into an equipment roadblock quickly. You'll need to buy yourself pair of Secateurs, a type of scissor generally used for gardening. But in this game, you'll need the Secateurs to prune Creamy Wallplant off the brick walls of Old Street West and East. You can still continue to level Forager without it by yanking Kelp off the beach, but that's a very slow way to go about it.
If you're wondering how to get the Secateurs in Brighter Shores, it's actually quite easy. In this guide, we'll show you exactly where you can pick it up.
Where to get Secateurs in Brighter Shores
If you've come across Creamy Wallplants, you're already quite close to the location of Secateurs in Brighter Shores. It can be purchased in The Forager's Warehouse, accessible from Old Street East. If you haven't discovered Old Street East yet, take the east exit from the Town Square and keep walking.
As we mentioned earlier, the starter foragable material in this game can be collected by hand. However, you'll eventually need to buy foraging tools as many of them cannot be gathered this way.
Thankfully, all of them can be obtained from the same place as the Secateurs. As the name implies, The Forager's Warehouse is your one-stop shop for all future tools you'll need to progress the Forager Profession.
How much do the Secateurs cost in Brighter Shores?
The vendor Ella sells the Secateurs for 13 Silver and 200 Copper. Since this is a one-time purchase, you won't need to worry about it afterwards. If you're fresh off the tutorial, however, this is quite a lot of money.
If you're looking for a way to make money, Foraging itself presents some ways to earn some. You can sell the starter Kelp you've picked up so far to the Potion Reagants vendor at Town Square, although this is not the best way to utilize them. Instead, take the Kelp to the Apothecary at Stone Street to batch-cook 10% Health Potion, and sell them to the potion vendor for a profit.
Alternatively, you can completely branch off and look into the Chef profession for some ways to turn a profit by cooking Bacon Sandwich.
Once you buy the Secateurs, snip away at the Creamy Wallplants, which can be used to make 20% Potions at the Apothecary. In other words, you'll be able to earn your money back even faster once you buy the Secateurs.
