There are three main ways to obtain the Shroud of False Death in Diablo 4. Each method involves grinding to a certain degree.

1) Boss Farming

The most straightforward way to obtain the Shroud of False Death is by farming specific bosses. These bosses have a chance to drop this chest armor, though the drop rate is not guaranteed. The six bosses you should focus on are:

  • The Beast in the Ice
  • Echo of Andariel
  • Echo of Duriel
  • Grigoire
  • Lord Zir
  • Varshan

These bosses not only have a chance to drop the Shroud but also other high-tier loot and crafting materials like runes. Teaming up with other players can speed up boss farming, especially if you're targeting high-difficulty versions of these bosses. Use high burst damage and mobility to clear bosses more effectively.

2) Crafting at the Blacksmith

If boss farming isn't your forte, you can craft the Shroud of False Death at the Blacksmith. However, you'll need a specific set of rare materials:

Crafting Requirements:

  • 6 Bac Runes
  • 6 Moni Runes
  • 6 Kry Runes
  • 2 Resplendent Sparks

The best way to get the runes is by playing the Kurast Undercity endgame content and defeating Uber Bosses. On the other hand, Resplendent Sparks are earned through Season Journeys or as drops from Uber Bosses.

3) Gambling at the Purveyor of Curiosities

Your third option is to gamble for the Shroud of False Death using Obols at the Purveyor of Curiosities. This method is entirely RNG-dependent but can be worthwhile if you have a lot of Obols to spare.

Refresh the vendor stock to boost your chances of seeing chest armor options and try gambling after big game updates, as drop rates can be temporarily altered.
