How to fix the broken Lamps around town in Luma Island
To start the quest, you must have encountered the earthquake on day 5. After this, visit the main area of the town to see the aftermath of the tremors. Approach Mayor Hugo, identifiable by his white attire and white-and-red hat. Speak with him to initiate the quest, starting with the task of repairing the benches around the town.
The benches can be repaired using a couple of Farm Wood Planks each, though they will be a tad tricky to track down since the town is a labyrinth of cobblestone alleyways and areas. Once all the benches are fixed, return to Mayor Hugo to claim your rewards. Following this, you will need to repair the bridge leading to the Forest, which requires the following materials:
- Silk Rope (x5)
- Farm Block (x5)
- Bridge Beam (x2)
- Farm Plank (x10)
Note that the Bridge Beam can be bought from the town carpenter's shop. Once this is done, you will unlock the Forest biome, which houses new enemy types, resources, dungeons, and more. This includes the new Iron Ore resource, which will be key to manufacturing Iron Bars at the Smelter.

Then, talk to Mayor Hugo again to receive permission to repair the Lamp Posts around town. There are a total of ten Lamp Posts to repair and each requires the following ingredients:
- Iron Bar (x1)
- Glass (x1)
- Screws (x1)
Iron Bars can be crafted at the Ore Smelter using Iron Ore (x1) and Charcoal (x4). Meanwhile, Glass can be crafted using the Kiln by using Sand (x1) and Charcoal (x1); the latter is obtained by using the pickaxe on the sandy areas of the beach. Finally, Screws are obtained from piles and treasure chests found in the Forest biome.
To repair all Lamps in Luma Island, you will need 10 Iron Bars, 10 Glass, and 10 Screws. Once done, talk to the Mayor again to complete this part of the quest and receive thanks and rewards, in the form of 250 of each Spirit and 5,000 Gold Coins.
