How to unlock Fast Travel in Luma Island
Luma Island offers a new way of adventuring across a whimsical island full of secrets. Given the game's open-world nature, you will likely want to know how to travel around faster. The game has various biomes, each boasting unique enemies, resources, and more, incentivizing you to go all in on the exploration factor.
That said, you must jump through a few hoops to reach the point where you can move between biomes. Here's how you can quickly travel around the world.
How do you fast travel in Luma Island?
Fast travel points in the game are indicated by a stone arc wall with a green swirl pattern. Each biome also has a fast travel point, which needs to be unlocked by activating them. While this will make things a lot easier, you can also get to these different areas from the comfort of your houses.
Yes, you can construct various comfy houses by harvesting resources from around the world. Before you can start building a house, you will also need a Cottage Blueprint. This can be found in a treasure chest on an island in the northwestern area of the Forest biome. Only after meeting this can you proceed with the next step.

Building a cottage requires a vast number of resources that can be gathered across the various biomes. Here is the full list of materials required to build a home:
- Box of Nails (x25)
- Cottage Permit (x1)
- Clay (x50)
- Fiber (x25)
- Forest Plank (x100)

- Glass (x25)

Scaffolding is the foundation for the house that must be placed on the ground before you can start building your Cottage using the rest of the materials. It, alongside the Cottage Permit, can be bought from Sophia's General Store for 500 Coins and 1,000 Coins, respectively.
Once the house has been constructed, you can enter its basement to find another fast travel point. This way, you can visit the various unlocked biomes from the comfort of their Cottage.
