Next Pax Dei update to introduce p2p trading with Gold and Discord notifications
Pax Dei places more of a social emphasis than its peers in the open-world crafting MMO genre, and none of this is more evident than the future arrival of player-to-player trading of items using in-game currency. The devs have released an expansive blog post detailing everything about creating and managing a market and trading economy with other players in a social environment in the game.
Simply put, players can put items for sale which other players can purchase via Gold. This should make for an interesting take on multiplayer co-operative and social gaming, especially since they will also be able to use Discord to get notified about transactions. While no information has been provided yet for when this update will drop in Pax Dei, here are the details of what fans can expect.
Pax Dei future updates to implement p2p trading via Gold and Discord notifications for trades
As per the blog, Pax Dei players will be able to set up different stalls in the market, each allowing the trading of different materials and items in exchange for Gold. They are as follows:
- Alchemist: Allows the sale of herbs, mushrooms, minerals, drinks, and potions.
- Woodsman: Buyers can purchase leather, leather armor, hides, bows, fur, and meat products
- Crafter: Players can choose to list ores, metals, and metal armor for sale as well as tailoring options.
Furthermore, the devs plan to make it so that players can view the items on sale in a remote store from within a Heartland, following which a marker will lead the player to the stall in the game to allow the purchase of goods. Players will be able to hold an unspecified "very large' number of Gold which will be designed such that no player can realistically reach it, so they do not have to worry about reaching a limit.

It doesn't stop there, however. In future updates, sellers will also be able to customize the look of their stalls, check logs to keep track of orders and order activity, and even the ability to put items on sale — though this comes with a fee of 5% of the total item cost.
Furthermore, dedicated players who have their Discord accounts linked with Pax Dei can get notified via a Discord DM (Direct Message) to be notified of any sales made while they are away from the game. The team is also looking into connecting the market with Discord, though that is likely to come at a much later date after the early versions of stall trading have been tested publicly.
A genius idea and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Additionally, since Gold coins are the main form of currency for trade, it should be noted that the only method of obtaining them is PvE loot. In other words, those who had the idea of converting Gold Bars into coins will be disappointed.
Pax Dei is available on PC via Early Access.
