All Path of Exile 2 Campaign bosses, explored

Path of Exile 2 Early Access features a wealth of bosses — some optional, the others mandatory. As of now, there are about fifty bosses in the game. Some of them just give you regular loot, some drop valuable quest items, and others are just infuriating gatekeepers preventing you from proceeding with optional Ascension trials. However, they all have very interesting mechanics to keep in mind.

As the Early Access period of PoE 2 goes on, we’ll likely see further Acts be added to the game — which means more content and bosses to engage with. For now, we’ve got every potential boss you can fight in the Campaign.

Note: This article will be updated as more bosses are added to the game.

All Act 1 Campaign bosses in Path of Exile 2

Act 1’s bosses in Path of Exile 2 are primarily incredibly easy. The difficulty only really ramps up when you get to The King in the Mists, then the Executioner, and Count Geonor. Everyone else is pretty simple to overcome. Below is the list of all mandatory and optional bosses you can fight in Act 1.

Each of these bosses drops a pile of loot upon defeat — sometimes it’s Skill Gems, crafting materials, or just armor and weapons. However, some of them drop incredibly useful things — quest items, Skill Point books, and more. For example, King in the Mists gives a permanent +30 Spirit, which is extremely valuable. Act 1 has a few Weapon Skill Points, as well as some elemental resistances and Spirit buffs to offer, given you go through every boss.

All Act 2 Campaign bosses in Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2’s Act 2 features a pretty huge number of optional bosses, some of which you may never encounter in your main Campaign run. This is because they come from the Trial of the Sekehemas, and the boss you fight appears to be random. You’ll always fight Rattlecage first, but there are other potential bosses.

Another interesting facet of Act 2 is that several of the bosses can be fought in any order that you please. For instance, Kebab, Azarian, and Zalmarath can be fought in the order of your choosing; so if they’re too difficult, you can always level up and try a different boss. It’s a really nice change of pace for a game like this.

All Act 3 Campaign bosses in Path of Exile 2

Technically, Act 3 of Path of Exile 2 is where the story begins to wrap up. As far as we’re aware, there are no new bosses in the Cruel difficulties, though there is a story reason to tie the time travel into the game — though we won’t spoil it. However, the maps in this Act are massive, with plenty of challenging bosses.

Like Act 2, you have some bosses that might or not show up, depending on how hard you grind at the Trial of Chaos. Chetza, the Feathered Plague is always first, but the other bosses (Bahlak, Uxmal) could also show up after that.

This wraps up all the current bosses in Path of Exile 2's main Campaign. As more are added, we’ll update this article accordingly.
