Path of Exile 2: Ignaduk the Bog Witch boss guide

Ignaduk the Bog Witch is the ultimate goal of the Path of Exile 2 side quest Tribal Vengeance. While this fight can be annoying, especially for melee players, it’s a quest you should certainly go out of your way to complete. While all players get something out of defeating bosses, any class that wants to use a permanent buff or minions needs to make defeating her priority number one in Act 3.

Defeating Ignaduk the Bog Witch for the first time in Path of Exile 2 grants you the Gemrot Skull, which gives you a permanent +30 Spirit. This allows you to potentially summon more minions or at least, gives you more flexibility in what you summon/buff yourself with.

How to beat Ignaduk the Bog Witch in Path of Exile 2

You will find Ignaduk the Bog Witch in Azak Bog’s Gor-gor Mog section of the map. In all my experiences, this was in the dead center of the map — a nice change of pace from the chaos of other maps, although your experience may vary. It’s the largest circular, open section of Azak Bog and will certainly stand out.

Servi needs you to slay this bog witch, so it’s up to you to do what's required. However, before tackling Ignaduk the Bog Witch in Path of Exile 2, go out of your way to find the hopefully nearby Flameskin Ritual section of the map. You will find some effigies to burn here, which will help you gain 25% more Fire Resistance and a greater chance to find Rare Items while on this map.

Since Ignaduk drops lots of AOE fire spells, you’ll certainly want to have as much fire resistance as possible. Another thing that makes this fight annoying for melee characters, is how Ignaduk the Bog Witch spends a good deal of time flying around on her broom. This leaves a trail of huge bone spikes in its wake, all over the map.

She also creates large red AOE areas to stay out of, as these create explosions of bones that you should avoid. She’ll likely do this several times, back to back, so you have to keep mobile.

At around 60%, she’ll set the whole arena ablaze, and also create two huge lines of bone that can trap you within them. However, there’s a little area at the bottom you can dodge roll through though. After a delay, a huge line of fire will fill this area. I was able to dodge through any part of the bone, but I cannot be sure if it was a bug or not.

In addition to the bone AOEs, Ignaduk the Bog Witch will start shooting fireballs at you, making this Path of Exile 2 boss even more difficult. She can also create huge lines of fire across the arena, giving you fewer places to stand.

However, while I took on this fight as a Raging Spirits build, Frost Sorceress and Monk can really bring the pain to her — Ignaduk is weak to Cold attacks, so those players should have a nice and easy time with her if they can avoid her attacks.
