Path of Exile 2: Jamanra The Abomination boss guide

Jamanra The Abomination is the final boss of Path of Exile 2 Act 2. Those playing the story campaign for the first time might hit a massive wall while fighting this boss, as Jamanra has a significantly higher health pool and stun threshold compared to other bosses in the same act. Moreover, players will feel the boss attacks a lot harder, causing them to upgrade their skills and gear pieces before attempting a battle with him.

This article lists the basics of Jamanra The Abomination boss fight in Act II, his attack patterns, and tips to easily get the better of him.

How to find Jamanra The Abomination boss in Path of Exile 2

Jamanra The Abomination is the conclusion to the Jamanra The Risen King version in Act II. However, this time, players must board an enemy Dreadnought, and fight through hoards of enemies. The boss can be found at the very end of "Dreadnought Vanguard."

Both Dreadnought and Dreadnought Vanguard have their waypoints, and can be teleported to at any time. The location is accessible after following the Act 2 questline, and creating a blowing horn by defeating bosses in three different locations.

Jamanra The Abomination, unlike his Risen King version, has several attacks that range across two different phases. You must fight him once at the Dreadnought Vanguard, which will then transition to another unknown location, where the second part of the fight takes place.

Here is a list of attacks Jamanra The Abomination unleashes in the first phase:

  • Summons two pylons that will eventually travel together to a random location of the arena, and deal massive AOE damage. This can be a one-shot for any squishy build, so dodging is recommended. You must keep an eye on these pylons, as they will be cast around the arena multiple times during the fight.
  • Jamanra The Abomination Summons both pylons, forms an electrical line between them, and makes the pair travel from one side of the arena to the other. This Can be avoided by sticking an edge.
  • The boss Summons both pylons to randomly travel around the arena while being electrocuted. Can deal significant damage if not avoided.
  • Casts a lightning beam, and then splits the same beam to cast on both sides of the arena in an AOE.
  • WIPE MECHANIC: Brings a sandstorm that covers the entire arena. Standing in the open storm will kill you. Look for Sekhama and stand behind her shield to protect yourself. However, be careful here, as many enemies will spawn here to overwhelm you.

Once Jamanra's health reaches a certain percentage, the second half of the fight will begin. Here is a list of attack patterns in the second phase:

  • Performs a sweep attack in an AOE.
  • Summons tornado which moves slowly in the arena.
  • Summons two pylons on the ground, alongside an electric field for area denial. This can be encountered multiple times.
  • Summons several knives in the air to slam them on the ground.
  • Summons a portal that will continuously shoot out knives. Acts like an area denial in a straight line.
  • Performs a slam attack that damages everything in a straight line in front of the boss.

Summoners will have a very challenging time with this boss, especially in normal Act 2. Jamanra The Abomination's attacks are mostly AOE in both phases, so the minions can be easily wiped out from the arena, leaving the player to deal with the boss alone.

Anything with freeze buildup is great, as getting an extra window in the boss fight will always be helpful. It would also help to have high Lightning resistance for increased survivability.
