Path of Exile 2: Jamanra The Risen King boss guide
Jamanra The Risen King can be encountered while players traverse through Path of Exile 2 Act 2. Jamanra is also the main antagonist of this act, so players will see him again towards the end of the story arc, as the fight mentioned here doesn't fully extend to the conclusion. Regardless, he can be challenging for players starting in the normal acts. The Risen King has AOE and elemental attacks, all capable of one-shotting any build.
This article lists the very basics of the Jamanra The Risen King boss fight — not to be confused with Jamanra The Abomination. Below, readers will find the boss' location, attack patterns, and some minor tips on engaging him.
Where to find Jamanra The Risen King in Path of Exile 2
Jamanra The Risen King can be found within the Halani Gates region of Act 2. Traverse through Traitor's Passage until you find the location, and then follow along the primary objective as stated.
The objective requires you to open three gates, and follow Sekhema Asala, your NPC companion for the mission. The rest of the task requires you to defeat any incoming enemy group until you reach the boss arena.
Attack patterns of Jamanra The Risen King in Path of Exile 2
Although Jamanra The Risen King does not have several attacks to perform, the one time he does showcase his abilities can be overwhelming for players. Knowing his attack patterns and boss mechanics is important, especially for anyone playing on Hardcore difficulty.
The following list includes all of Jamanra The Risen King's attacks in Halani Gates:
- Several normal slashes in melee range.
- A beam attack in front of him.
- A ground AOE slam attack, where he throws his weapon on the ground, dealing damage over a decent area. Following the AOE attack, the ground will glow with a yellow circle in the middle after the first slam. Players must stand inside the circle to dodge this second AOE attack. Anyone standing outside the middle circle will be damaged significantly.
- At low health, Jamanra The Risen King will be invulnerable, and a sandstorm will appear all over the arena, alongside small enemies in hordes. Defeat the minor enemies, and Jamanra The Risen King will exit the arena, ending the fight.
Jamanra The Risen King has a very low stun threshold, allowing melee attackers to utilize their skills and stun this boss. Summoners might have a hard time keeping their minion up at all times, as most of Jamanra's attacks in this fight are AOE, leading some minions to die instantly.
In the Cruel version of the fight, summoners can go for one Cleric to keep their other minions alive. However, it is important to keep an attacking skill such as Essence Drain or Contagion at your disposal, for extra damage.
