Path of Exile 2: How to get Points (Microtransaction)

Path of Exile 2’s Points are a real-money currency that you can use to buy a wide assortment of useful and cosmetic items. These microtransactions help fund the game and give players access to things like more Stash Tabs, costumes, or whatever else they have their minds set on. However, there are only a handful of ways to get these Points in the game.

Some things bought using Points can be incredibly helpful, like the Premium Stash Tab, which is required if you want to sell items. Thankfully, Path of Exile 2 is similar to its predecessor in the fact that it’s not pay-to-win, and using these Points on a few quality-of-life changes never feels unfair, or predatory.

How you can get Points for Microtransactions in Path of Exile 2

The primary way to get Points in Path of Exile 2 is by purchasing them in-game for real money (USD). You can also purchase Points on the Path of Exile website by clicking on the shop, selecting an item you wish to purchase, and clicking Buy. You can then click the Buy Points button, and that will take you to the appropriate screen.

The website and in-game shop alike will allow you to buy 50, 100, or 200 points for $5, $10, and $20, respectively. However, there’s another way you can acquire Points in Path of Exile 2, and that’s through the Supporter Packs. You can purchase any of these, and receive a significant amount of Points.

For example, the $30 Support Pack grants 300 points, the $60 one grants 600 points, and the incredibly expensive $480 Liberator of Wraeclast Supporter tier grants 4,800 Points. Essentially, you’re buying Points in-game, but also getting access to the game (and occasionally great cosmetics/extra keys too).

Another method of getting Points in Path of Exile 2 is by having someone gift you a Support Pack on Steam. Doing this will give the points to the person you gifted the pack to. However, if you want to gift someone the game and keep the Points for yourself, buy the Support Pack on the Path of Exile website, and only hand over the access key.

There’s one more way to give someone else Points, and that’s through PoE 2’s support system. According to a thread on the POE forums, you can send an email to support@grindinggear.com, and provide the Account Names for both accounts along with two or three characters from each. They will then look into helping you gift Points to a friend or loved one.
