Path of Exile 2: How to use the Realmgate in endgame

Realmgate is the pathway through which a player can access Path of Exile 2 pinnacle bosses. It can be found on the huge Atlas tree that gets unlocked in the endgame, especially after completing Cruel Act III in early access. However, Realmgate requires special currency to grant access to the bosses, some of which are tough to come by.

This article lists the basics of a Realmgate and its function in the endgame. Note that a Realmgate has a fixed spawn location on the Atlas map, typically next to the Zigurrat Refuge, the starting point of your mapping journey.

Where to find the Realmgate in Path of Exile 2

As mentioned, a Realmgate can be located on the endgame Atlas map, near the Zigurrat Refuge. We got our Realmgate at the southern part of the starting point, a few clicks to the south. The image below should provide a clearer idea.

Once you locate the Realmgate, you can access any pinnacle boss tied to league mechanics, given you have the currency/key to the respective bosses. Some notable bosses to access via the Realmgate are Xesht from Breach and King in the Mist from Ritual.

You can interact with a Realmgate on your map by clicking on it. There are four sockets within a Realmgate holding the keys to pinnacle bosses of each league mechanic.

For example, you can access the Xesht boss fight for Breach by putting a Breachstone on the Realmgate. This can be done by accumulating 300 Breach Splinters from maps or purchasing a Breachstone from the market. Once you have the Breachstone, open the Atlas map from your Waystation, and navigate to the Realmgate.

Click the Realmgate, put the Breachstone on one of the sockets, and click "Traverse" to start the boss fight. Once done, six portals appear around the Waystation, similar to how a Waystone on maps works. The same theory applies to the King in the Mists boss fight, which requires an "Audience with the King" from Ritual activities.
