The Division 2 Lexington Assault Rifle guide: Attributes, how to get, and talents

Lexington is a new Assault Rifle added alongside a Veterans reward program in The Division 2. The weapon has been received well by the community, as currently, it seems that this particular gear piece is one of the most powerful ones, and that too by being a named item. That said, there are a few controversies surrounding the weapon, including a game-breaking bug leading to most players not getting the gear piece.

This article lists everything related to the new Lexington Assault Rifle, including the perks, the best talents to equip, and ways to make it a guaranteed acquisition of your inventory.

How to get the Lexington Assault Rifle in The Division 2?

Since Lexington is part of the Veterans Reward program, you can simply log in to the game, and look for the weapon in their inventory. However, anyone who has been playing for less than two months will not get the weapon. Ensure space in your character's inventory, or log into any character that does not have their inventory full.

Note that this weapon can only be claimed by one character. At the time of writing this article, the Lexington cannot be transferred between characters via the stash. Hence, you must log in through your main character and get the weapon.

Making sure that your inventory has space is necessary because of the major bug that led to the controversy surrounding the Lexington. If you log in with a full inventory, there is a high chance that the weapon might get lost. Ubisoft has acknowledged this issue and is currently looking for ways to fix it.

Lexington attributes and talents in The Division 2

Lexington is a named weapon, meaning that you can equip it alongside any Exotic weapons in the game. It currently holds some of the highest DPS numbers, since it carries 5% more base damage than other weapons of the same archetype. Lexington drops with fully maxed-out attributes, which are as follows:

  • Core attributes: 15% Assault Rifle damage, and 21% Health damage
  • Attributes: 10% increased damage to targets out of cover

The attribute can be changed at any time, but it is recommended to keep the "increased damage to targets out of cover" equipped on this weapon.

The talent, on the other hand, is randomized for every player. So, you can equip something that suits your build. A great choice would be the "Killer" talent, which synergizes well with 4-set Striker armor.

Lastly, there are three available skins for the weapon, named Veteran Gold, Veteran Silver, and Veteran Gold. Those who have been playing The Division 2 before January 1, 2024, will get all three skins. The rest will be distributed by calculating a player's first login, with Silver being the next reward, and Bronze being the last.
