Throne and Liberty Chaos Archwizard (Taedal Floor 17) boss mechanics: Attack pattern and special moves to look out for
Basic Attack: The Chaos Archwizard has a Basic Attack that involves magic. It deals a bit of damage, but nothing you shouldn't be able to shrug off. You can't really dodge it, so be prepared to heal mid-fight.
Fury Attack: The Fury Attack is rather hard-hitting, so remember to block it as soon as you see the indicator on the screen. This might be a bit tricky as the Chaos Archwizard's attacks are rather bright. It makes it harder to spot the indicator at times. Make sure to pay attention when the entity stops attacking and starts charging up to attack you.
Directional Attack: Mid-fight, the Chaos Archwizard will charge up and shoot a bright blue beam in a single direction. Step out of the way to avoid being damaged. It doesn't last long, so be patient and counterattack when the opportunity presents itself.
Arena AOE Attack/Guardian Shield: The Chaos Archwizard has an ultimate attack that affects the entire arena. The center of the arena will turn dark purple, and dials will rotate around the edge of the arena as the AOE attack charges.
To avoid sustaining damage, rush toward your Guardian and get inside the blue protective aura before the AOE is released. Use your Dash Morph to cover the distance swiftly. Be careful to not step on the purple dials, as they will inflict damage. It is recommended that you jump over them.
Defend The Guardian: Keep in mind that the Guardian is there to protect you, and you to protect it. You will have to protect the Guardian whenever the Chaos Archwizard unleashes its Fury Attack. Put yourself between the entity and the Guardian and block the attack. This will ensure they take no damage.
If the Guardian falls in battle, you will receive more damage. Do yourself a favor and ensure that does not happen.
