Best pure Healer build in Throne and Liberty: leveling, skills, and itemization
Healers in Throne and Liberty are the glue that holds every matchmade activity together, whether in Co-op dungeons, PvP Arena events, or Conflict bosses. These archetypes represent the support aspect of the standard MMORPG trinity of classes, bringing an arsenal chock full of buffs and healers.
In the context of Throne and Liberty, there are two best-in-slot heal supports that can function perfectly in day-to-day scenarios. This guide will look into the Seeker class utilizing the Longbow and Wand combo, specializing in boosting team DPS over personal damage output.
Throne and Liberty Longbow & Wand skill build for leveling
Compared to other support and non-DPS classes in Throne and Liberty, leveling up a character using Longbow is significantly easier. Players have easy access to high-damage skills from a very early stage and can reinvigorate themselves mid-combat with strong heals from the Wand&Tome skill set.
Active Skills
Strafing is the best skill to invest in early, as this skill deals high damage and boosts other skills via specializations. As for recovering, Swift Healing is the strongest source of sustain in solo and group situations, until players can unlock Clay's Salvation and Fountain of Life.
The active skill priority is as follows:
- Strafing
- Zephyr's Nock
- Decisive Judgement
- Swift Healing
- Chaotic Judgement
- Time for Punishment
- Healing Touch
- Touch of Despair
- Nature's Blessing
For the Omnipotence skill choice upon reaching level 50, players are encouraged to take Fountain of Life. For DPS purposes, taking Ray of Disaster is a better choice, while Blitz is a better option for overall support gameplay.
Skill Specialization
Skill Specialization points are earned at every level increase after reaching level 25. At level 50, players will have 100 specialization points, which can be spent on many skills. Here are some of the skills to specialize in:
- Strafing: Gale > Consecutive Use
- Decisive Sniping: Charging Time Up > Mobility > Decisive Bombardment
- Swift Healing: Healing Transfers > Consecutive Use
- Time for Punishment: Enchanting Time > Effect Duration Up
- Touch of Despair: Radius Increased > Effect Duration Up
- Corrupted Magic Circle: Rotten Swamp > Additional Damage
Passives
Longbow and Wand's passives work in perfect synchronization to keep the player and their party members alive. Longbow's Distorted Sanctuary and Earth's Blessing influence personal defense, while Devoted Shield provides situational aid. Vampiric Contract grants players a significant boost to their sustain, while Devotion and Emptiness aids in managing cooldowns.
Furthermore, players can take Saint's Oath, Noble Revival, and Selfless Soul to aid in party recovery. Here is a comprehensive list of passives to take:
- Rapidfire Stance
- Roxie's Arrowhead
- Devotion and Emptiness
- Wraith's Beacon
- Vampiric Contract
- Noble's Revival
- Full of Corruption
Weapon Mastery
Weapon Mastery in Throne and Liberty is a long-term progression system that grants players a myriad of minor and major passive benefits for using specific weapon types. Weapon Mastery XP is gained passively throughout a character's playtime and can be boosted by consuming Training Dews obtained from various PvE sources.
During their progression towards level 50 and the end of the campaign, players will obtain very few Mastery Points, far below the maximum of 16. Therefore, we suggest investing in these six major nodes while leveling up:
Longbow: Harmonious Mind > Pointy Thorns > Critical Nock
Wand and Tome: Pure Healing > Witch's Contract > Regenerative Meditation
Gear progression:
The gear progression during leveling follows most other caster builds of Throne and Liberty that boost healing and the damage over time profile of a character. The campaign can be easily completed with a few crafted items, with the rest obtained from the Codex Completion rewards.
The best Codex pickups are:
- Sniper Longbow: Chapter 1
- Sophia's Ring of Strength: Chapter 4
- Scepter of the Resistance: Chapter 5
- Mask of the Resistance: Chapter 6
- Handguards of the Resistance: Chapter 7
- Trousers of the Resistance: Chapter 8
- Sabatons of the Boots: Chapter 9
- Heroic Garb of the Resistance: Chapter 10
Likewise, the best crafting choices are:
- Divine Rod
- Mantle of Casting
- Layered Iron Helm
- Intricate Leather Tunic
- Ironclad Plate Gauntlets
- Blackened Plate Greaves
- Blackened Plate Sabatons
- Belt of Meditation
- Ring of Robustness
- Bracelet of Conquest
- Ring of Precision
- Necklace of Foresight
These are just some of the myriad of gear that can be crafted and obtained throughout the campaign and very early in the post-campaign world. These are certainly not best-in-slot items and should be swapped out with better pieces. We recommend crafting Mantle of Casting, as Codex Completion rewards do not grant a Cloak to players.
Best stats to level up for Sword & Wand build in Throne and Liberty
Stat points in Throne and Liberty are an integral part of character progression. Throughout their leveling journey to Level 50, players will obtain 49 Stat points that can be invested into four categories for various effects.
The Seeker uses most of its skills to restore HP and sustain parties. Therefore, it has little need for personal DPS. However, every little bit counts in combat, so a hit chance is necessary. This will not be an issue during early leveling, so players can invest their first 20 points in Wisdom. The remaining 29 points can be safely deposited into Dexterity and Perception, with the former getting 20 points and the latter receiving 9.
Best endgame setup for Throne and Liberty Sword & Wand build
If a player levels with this build during the campaign, the endgame build will not be too difficult to pick up. Many skills will remain unchanged, while Omnipotence skills start becoming a core part of the build.
Important skills:
Wand and Tome's curse skills become a staple in endgame encounters while increasing the overall DPS output. Longbow skills are now used for both healing and cleansing debuffs, as well as boosting party-wide DPS.
Dropping a few damage skills to make space for Invincible Wall and Stalwart Barrier is highly recommended. Blitz, Purifying Touch and Healing Touch will also become part of the skill rotation. Strafing should follow after everyone is healthy and damaging the enemies.
With changes to skills, skill specialization will also change from the leveling version.
- Touch of Despair: Effect Duration Increase
- Corrupted Magic Circle: Decaying Touch > Additional Damage
- Fountain of Life: Radius Increased > Effect Duration Increase > Mana Recovery
- Healing Touch: Additional Health Recovery > Mana Cost Reduction
- Invincible Wall: Targets Expanded
Mastery Points
Continuing from the leveling section, the mastery point allocation for each weapon category should be:
Wand & Tome: Pure Healing > Witch's Contract > Regenerative Meditation > Spiritual Focus > Greedy Need > Time of the Curse
Longbow: Harmonious Mind > Pointy Thorns > Critical Nock > Brutal Shooter > Impending Spikes > Gale Arrowhead
Bear in mind that these points can be refunded and reallocated, albeit for a hefty Sollent cost.
Endgame stat allotment
In the endgame, there is some merit to investing in Strength, at least until the first milestone of 30 points. Strength makes characters inherently sturdy, which helps healers tank high-damage attacks from Rex Chimerus in Temple of Slaughter and Toublek's geyser detonation from Tyrant's Isle. However, players should aim to hit Wisdom's 50-point milestone to get some hefty cooldown recovery into the build.
Gearing Progression
Gear in Throne and Liberty represents possibly the biggest hurdle, as endgame items depend almost entirely on RNG. Some items can be target-farmed via Salvation tokens or Lithograph books, but the bulk of the items are obtained from Overland bosses and Dimensional Circle dungeons.
The first item that should be obtained is the Violent Signet from the Lithograph book. Afterward, it is recommended to focus heavily on the Cave of Destruction co-op dungeon as two high-value items are obtained from here, namely the Supreme Devotion cloak and Bracers of the Primal King bracelet. Supreme Devotion, in particular, should be equipped at all times, as this cloak provides a boatload of beneficial stats.
The next few items to chase for are the Abyssal Grace Band, Sapphire Dimensional Band, and Butcher's Belt. As for the necklace slot, Clasp of the Conqueror is a good choice, but the newly released Necklace of Cold Perception is a strong contender. The latter is obtained via the Arena mode, so that might be an unobtainable option for some.
The remaining armor pieces should be obtained slowly as these are rather difficult to obtain. Breeches of the Executioner, Ascended Guardian Shoes, Phantom Wolf Tunic and Swirling Essence Hat are popular amongst the community. However, we recommend farming Ascended Guardian pieces for the four-piece bonus of an additional 25% Skill heal. Items dropped exclusively by world bosses should not be target-farmed until T2 dungeons arrive.
As for the weapons, players should ideally farm Toublek's Deathmark Longbow, as the massive cooldown reduction is the best stat for healers, bar none. Beyond that, Excavator's Mysterious Scepter is a better option for squeezing extra healing potential out of Swift Healing.
