Throne and Liberty Update 1.7.0 patch notes: Easier Peace-mode world boss access, and more changes
Throne and Liberty's update 1.7.0 went live this week, concluding the Halloween event and closing out its event-exclusive dungeon. However, the patch notes also reveal a few other interesting changes many players will be happy with. Particularly, access portals near world bosses will now let you get to Peace-mode world bosses instantly, which is helpful in servers with a zerg guild problem that bars conflict bosses.
For those interested in all the changes made in Throne and Liberty 1.7.0, here are the full patch notes.
All changes in Throne and Liberty update 1.7.0 (patch notes)
General
- Guilds that have control of Stoneguard Castle can now schedule Tax Deliveries.
- Haunted Harvest is now over. Thanks to everyone who participated!
- Arena Season One is now live. Ready your weapons as the rankings reset for a fresh climb to the top of the ladder.
- Event Times: Regions with Daylight Savings Time changes (Europe and North America) have had their hourly event schedules adjusted to return events to the pre-time change hours.
- For Peace-mode world boss spawns, new access portals will now appear at the entrance of open-world dungeons to transport players to the boss location and avoid Night and Eclipse effects.
- When using these access portals, players will be teleported near the boss portal selection area and placed under a 30-second protection effect.
- Known Issue: The new Sanctum of Desire access portal appears inside the PvP-enabled border and will be adjusted in a future update. We recommend dash morphing to access this portal while under the initial 5-second protection effect for the time being.
- Weekly Mission rewards adjusted to once again reset during the weekly maintenance window.
- Accounts with negative Lucent balances will no longer be able to receive Lucent distributions from their guild.
- Equipment: Extract items can now be compared with equipped gear to view the effective changes of applying the extract.
- Equipment: The default keybind for viewing a piece of equipment at max enhancement is now ALT+G.
- Skills - Dagger: Fixed an issue that caused the effect from the passive skill Assassin Step to carry over when changing weapons.
- Combat: Enhanced the visual effects for Heavy Attacks.
UI
- Exiting a pop-up with the ESC key while viewing your inventory no longer closes the Inventory screen.
- Fixed an issue when opening multiple selection chests that reset the quantity opened to 1 when clicking to confirm.
- Applied the latest localization strings to correct various text length issues.
While the Halloween-exclusive event, co-op dungeon, and vendors are gone, note that the Castle Siege event is still afoot. In fact, it's just about to start this weekend. Here's a quick primer from the blog post uploaded during patch 1.6.0 earlier this month:
"As the siege begins, guilds have 45 minutes to achieve victory. Attackers must storm the castle, breach its fortified gates, and capture the throne room. Defenders, transported inside the castle at the start, must hold their ground, leveraging every resource at their disposal to repel the invaders. If the throne is contested when the timer runs out, the siege enters a tense 3-minute overtime, where the battle's outcome hangs in the balance."
