Throne and Liberty Valley of Slaughter Dungeon guide: How to beat Turka

The Valley of Slaughter is one of Throne and Liberty's latest 2-star Dungeon. It is kind of an upgrade to the 1-star Butcher's Canyon, where players must push through the terrains of Akidu Valley, defeat a few Orc enemies, and take on the final boss. The idea is the same in the Valley of Slaughter, with a few tweaks in difficulty and mechanics.

Before diving in, have a 2500 Gear Score on your active playable character, as this particular Dungeon is a part of the PvE endgame activity pool. You must also have at least 450 Dimensional Contract Token II to loot the final chest for rewards.

Once everything is in place, you can start the Dungeon by normal matchmaking, or by joining a party via the in-game Party Board.

Disclaimer: Some mechanics of Valley of Slaughter are similar to its 1-star version, Butcher's Canyon. It would help if players get accustomed to the mechanics of Butcher's Canyon first, and then attempt to run the 2-star Valley of Slaughter.

Throne and Liberty Valley of Slaughter Orc mini-boss guide: Shadowmancers and Elder

Before going in for the final boss, you will encounter a few mechanics on the road. These mechanics are somewhat similar to the 1-star version, with minor tweaks. The first mini-boss will be an Orc Elder, whom you will find after crossing the first bridge. After draining some of its health, it will summon a Shadowmancer somewhere within the arena and tether itself to it.

You can identify the tethering by looking at the blue thread linking both the enemies.

During this process, neither enemy can be damaged. Have any of your allies stun the Shadowmancer in the distance, which will remove the tethering, allowing your team to damage the Elder.

After progressing a bit further, you will encounter an Altar in the middle, alongside three Shadowmancers tethered to each other. As previously mentioned, these enemies cannot be damaged while they are tethered. Hence, avoid the red lines on the ground, and proceed to the enemies. Three players can be assigned to these three Shadowmancers.

The idea is to apply a CC skill to all three Shadowmancers simultaneously, so they get stunned at the same time. Those with ranged CC skills do not even need to cross the red lines and can do so from outside. Defeat all three Shadowmancers, and proceed to the boss arena.

Throne and Liberty Valley of Slaughter final boss guide: Turka

Turka's normal attacks:

Turka works very much like Duke Magna from Butcher's Canyon, with one additional mechanic.

  • After the fight starts, watch out for three attacks.
  • A meteor slam on three players.
  • A quick AOE attack that can be blocked.
  • A ground AOE that can be avoided by jumping. Look for a red color on the ground, which will act as your queue for jumping. Same as Butcher's Canyon.
  • In the meteor attack, however, if you are the tank, look out for a lingering pool of lava, and try to avoid it during the fight.

While the boss is performing these attacks, everyone is free to damage as much as possible. Now, onto the additional mechanic.

Additional mechanic:

In the middle of the fight, Turka pulls everyone toward him and spawns a sheep in the distance.

Everyone, except the tank, must kill the sheep. While the five players are killing the sheep, the boss will dash towards the tank, and position himself at the very edge of the arena.

During this time, the tank can run to the sheep and interact alongside their team. Doing so will grant a protective shield to everyone, which is a protective barrier from a wipe mechanic.

Wipe mechanic:

The wipe mechanic is when Turka jumps and slams the ground, dealing a wide AOE damage. Not having the barrier will kill everyone leading to a wipe.

Final mechanic:

A small note towards the end is when Turka summons two sheep, do not be fooled, and keep your team focused on one sheep like before. The rest of the task remains the same.
