How to get Resin in Towers of Aghasba
Resin is needed at the very beginning of Towers of Aghasba to build your first settlement — a farming village. Resin is one of the key requirements of the Fill Request to get it up and running. It's implied that Resin can be gained from some trees, but the dinky trees available at this point simply won't cut it.
That said, getting Resin is simple once you complete an early-game quest objective. In this guide, we'll explain all about how to get this basic material in Towers of Aghasba.
How to find Resin in Towers of Aghasba
To get Resin in Towers of Aghasba, you must set up a temperate biome first. For this, find Pawel standing on a cliff towards the east of Amani Island. Pawel gives you a starter King Tree Seed, which can be planted anywhere to jump-start a temperate biome that can grow bigger trees such as Fir, which can drop Resin when chopped down.
Only the wider trees that also drop Tree Barks can drop Resin. Slimmer trees like Patsu cannot drop it. Furthermore, it's also not a guaranteed drop for every Fir you chop down. If you didn't get it on the first try, there will usually be more than one around. If you do get a bad spawn with only one Fir around and that doesn't drop the Resin, it's still possible to get it later. You must get some Temperate Seeds off the King Tree or by feeding nearby animals with Berries or Roots.
Note that you'll also need a Stone Hatchet to chop down the trees. To craft that, you must amass 2x Stones, 2x Sticks, and 3x Fiber.
Once you grow your King Tree to tier 2 as part of Pawel's quest, you also get more advanced ways to obtain a lot of Resin in Towers of Aghasba: such as Resin Pools, which can be dug out with a Shovel. Notably, a lot of Resin is needed further down the line to build and grow towns and rebuild ruins.
