WoW Classic: All Gnomeregan quests

Gnomeregan is an important dungeon in WoW Classic. It’s often a great place to grind exp, and the quests have some fairly useful items. Whether you want to pick up amazing blue items like Talvash’s Gold Ring or want to teleport to Booty Bay and Gnomeregan as a Horde player, taking some time to play through this dungeon is going to be important for your success.

Now that the WoW Classic Fresh Start servers have opened their doors, players won’t have to wait too long to get into Gnomeregan’s quests. Below, we’ll cover all the quests you can complete in this dungeon, though there are admittedly far more of them for the Alliance than the Horde.

All Gnomeregan quests to complete on WoW Classic servers

If you want to complete all the quests in Gnomeregan in WoW Classic, you need to be at least level 25. One of the quests is a level 28 quest, and that’s the Grime-Encrusted Ring quest. It’s only really frustrating because you have to get the item to drop in the first place from the various Dark Iron Dwarves in the dungeon.

Other than knowing which ingredients you need to bring (Ring, Silver Bar, Moss Agate, 30 Silver), it’s pretty straight forward. It’s not really too difficult to locate any of the quests below, but we’ll give you all the details needed to find them.

Alliance-specific quests

Save Techbot’s Brain! (Level 20): Ironforge, Tinkmaster Overspark (70.6, 50.4)
Gyrodrillmatic Excavationators (Level 20): Stormwind City, Shoni the Shilent (55.4, 12.6)
Essential Artificials (Level 24): Ironforge, Klockmort Spannerspan (68.2, 46.4)
Data Rescue (Level 25): Ironforge, Master Mechanic Castpipe (69.8, 48.4)
The Grand Betrayal (Level 25): Ironforge, High Tinker Mekkatorque (69, 49)

Horde-specific quests

Rig Wars (Level 25): Orgrimmar, Nogg (75.8, 25.2)

Universal quests

A Fine Mess (Level 20): Gnomeregan, found in the "The Dormitory” with friendly gnomes in it. /target Kernobee to find the NPCs.
The Sparklematic 5200! (Level 25): Gnomeregan, found in the “Clean Zone” area of the map.
Grime-Encrusted Ring (Level 28): Gnomeregan, begins from a fairly rare drop off of Dark Iron Dwarves.

Quests that are found in a quest chain (both factions)

Gnogaine (Alliance - Level 20): Dun Morogh, Ozzie Togglevolt (45.8, 49.2); must complete The Day After to unlock this quest - Ironforge, Gnoarn (69.4, 50.6)
The Only Cure is More Green Glow (Alliance - Level 20): Dun Morogh, Ozzie Togglevolt (45.8, 49.2); must complete Gnogaine to unlock
Chief Engineer Scooty (Horde - Level 20): Orgrimmar, Sovik (75.6, 25.2); must accept Rig Wars quest first, to begin this quest

Most of these quests are pretty straightforward and easy to complete. The only really frustrating one is likely going to be A Fine Mess. Some players report that this WoW Classic quest may take a few Gnomeregan runs since the NPC doesn’t always spawn — or they can’t find him within the dungeon.

There are some great rewards from these WoW Classic quests that take you through Gnomeregan as well. Both The Grand Betrayal/Rig Wars grant players a choice between an excellent Cloth Robe, Leather Legs, and Mail Legs. Regardless of which faction you’re running, these quests, and bosses are certainly worth defeating.
