WoW Feast of Winter Veil - How to tame limited-time Dreaming Festive Reindeer
The WoW Feast of Winter Veil has begun, and this year, there’s a brand-new limited time tame: Dreaming Festive Reindeer. It can be a little on the complicated side on how exactly you find and get this pet, if you’ve never done it before. There’s lots of discussion on exactly what festive gear you have to equip, and what you cannot equip in order to get the deer to even show up in the first place.
Taming the Dreaming Festive Reindeer is one of the new features in the WoW Feast of Winter Veil 2024. This was added to the game in the most recent update, patch 11.0.7. If you want to take a break from Siren Isle, why not hop on a hunter and get a new pet?
Where to get your limited-time Dreaming Festive Reindeer in WoW Feast of Winter Veil
To get the new Dreaming Festive Reindeer during the WoW Feast of Winter Veil, you need a few things. You need the right festive clothes, and you need to head into the Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon. Thankfully, this is also very easy to get to. You could queue for it, but it’s easier to just walk in. You won’t encounter any fights where you need to go.
Before you head off to the dungeon to tame the Dreaming Festive Reindeer in WoW, purchase some festive holiday gear - it won’t cost you very much gold. Head to Stormwind or Orgrimmar and speak to Penney Copperpinch - she’ll be found next to all the holiday stuff in the main area of the city. Purchase the following cosmetics, and set them up in a transmog outfit:
- Festive Red Holiday Coat
- Festive Red Holiday Boots
- Festive Red Holiday Shorts/Pants
- Festive Red Holiday Belt
Mixing the green and red festive gear does not work as reported by the community. After you’ve created your festive transmog outfit, head to Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon - found in the Caverns of Time. All you have to do is get to the WoW 20th Anniversary hub, turn around, talk to the dragon, and fly down into the bottom of the Caverns of Time. Enter the Hillsbrand dungeon and leave the starting cave.
Make sure your festive gear is transmogged on and head to the location above on the map. I cannot give you coordinates since it’s inside a dungeon. It’s very easy to get to: just run up the hill nearby, and get on the cliff. Use the command /tar dreaming and you can also tag it with an icon to make sure you see it as you get closer.
Dismiss your other pets and use Tame Beast when you’re in range. It won’t take very much time to tame this Tenacity pet and add it to your collection. There are two varieties of the WoW Dreaming Festive Reindeer: one with and one without a red nose. The red nose variety is the rarer of the two.
