An overview of all game modes in Ash Echoes
Here are the details of all game modes in Ash Echoes:
1) Field-Ops
The Field-Ops is one of the game modes in Ash Echoes that players engage in to farm various resources. It features multiple stages, each offering unique items. Here is a list and items each stage provides:
- Supply Assurance: Players can farm Alloys, Azurite Fragment, Lemonite, and more in-game items to upgrade Echomancers’ skills and ascension.
- Free Trade: Players can farm O.E. Coins by defeating enemies in Free Trade.
- Revelation Operation: Players can farm Mirrorshards that upgrade Memory Traces’ levels.
- Light Protocol: Players can farm class-wise chips to upgrade Echomancers’ skills.
- Neobrium Domain: Players can farm Shuttler, Electroleum, and other in-game items, which boosts Memory Traces' level cap.
In addition to the above rewards, players can get Officer EXP and Particle as first-time clearance rewards for clearing each level.

2) Skyrift Observation
Skyrift Observation is one of the best game modes in Ash Echoes to farm X Particle and Officer EXP. It consists of four Observation Paths and one Deep Observation point.
Each Observation Path consists of six missions with increasing difficulty and a reward system. Players can obtain X Particles and Officer EXP by clearing each mission. Unlocking a mission requires completing the previous one and other special conditions.
Every mission has buffs and debuffs that apply to the Echomancers or enemies. So, one must be aware of those before preparing their team for the fight. Likewise, each Observation Path is favorable to certain Ash Echoes classes. All characters from the favorable class gain buffs for the path. Here is the list of all Observation Paths and their features:
- Role-Based Operation: Favorable for Echomancers of all classes.
- Offensive Defense: Favorable for Echomancers of Vanguard, Bulwark, and Striker classes.
- Ranged Tactics: Favorable for Echomancers of Skirmisher and Ranged classes.
- Special Strategies: Favorable for Echomancers of Tactician and Support classes.
The Deep Observation unlocks upon clearing all missions in any of the above-listed paths. It consists of four missions and opens during specific times after a reset period. Players can set up teams based on their preferences because there is no favorable system like Observation Paths’ missions in Deep Observation.
3) Path to Proficiency
Path to Proficiency is one of the game modes in Ash Echoes, where players can farm in-game items that help upgrade Echomancers’ Potential. They can unlock this game mode by clearing the sixth mission in any of Skyrift Observation's paths. Entering a stage in this game mode requires an exclusive in-game currency, and one can form a two-man team to fight enemies. This game mode opens class-exclusive paths each day with unique buffs to the class.
Players can get Badges of Origins that upgrade Echomancers’ Potential. Path to Proficiency also offers several milestones with specific conditions, clearing which grants Crystaplates (also used to upgrade Potential level). Additionally, one can obtain the profile picture with a golden frame of a character they’ve used to clear the 10th stage in this game mode.

4) Joint Training
Joint Training is one of the most challenging game modes in Ash Echoes. Players fight against various bosses in this game mode that resets monthly. It consists of Defense Zones and a Central Zone. There are four Defense Zones: A, B, C, and D. Each contains three Sub-Zones that offer several waves of enemies one must defeat to clear. However, players must use the leader in their team from the specified class for each sub-zone.
A Defense Zone is considered conquered when one successfully clears all sub-zones. Players can obtain X Particles as rewards by conquering a sub-zone. Additionally, they get various amounts of X Particles every week based on the previous week's result. It is one of the best game modes in Ash Echoes to farm X Particles.
Players can unlock the Central Zone upon conquering Defense Zone A. They can fight various bosses in this zone, whose difficulty can be increased by five percent. One can earn higher rewards by clearing higher levels of difficulty.

5) S.E.E.D. Dome
S.E.E.D. Dome is one of the game modes in Ash Echoes where players don’t fight any enemies. It offers four sections: Basic R&D, Central Command, Training Room, and Processing Center.
Players can upgrade each Echomancer’s stat points, including VIT, ATK, MST, and more. Doing so requires in-game items, such as Muscle Trainer and Combat Boxer that can be produced in the Basic R&D section.
In the Processing Center, one can use low-grade items to craft high-grade ones that are used to upgrade Echomancers and their skills. For instance, players can craft Storage Alloys combining Common Alloys and Rotary Cores. Lastly, one can obtain Tech Points in the Central Command that are used to upgrade other sections.
6) Echoing Nexus
Echoing Nexus is one of the most crucial game modes in Ash Echoes. In this game mode, players select one Echomancer as a leader and Memory Traces for him to obtain Tactical Engravings. One can stumble into Encounters, Danger Zone, and Reward Points. During Encounters, players can use only the leader to defeat enemies.
In the Danger Zone, players must create a team of eight Echomancers and defeat waves of enemies. At Reward Points, players can obtain bonus stats, skills, or Trace skill levels. Basically, this game mode is focused on unlocking new skills of Memory Traces and increasing stats (VIT, DEF, ATK, MST, and TRM).
The skills and stats obtained from Echoing Nexus can be used while playing other game modes in Ash Echoes. Clearing Danger Zones for the first time rewards X Particles. One must use various Echomancers and Memory Traces that suit him to obtain a higher level of Tactical Engravings. It is because the level of Tactical Engravings decides the players’ overall in-game progression.
